The method includes monitoring a first value for a first item having attributes and monitoring a first value for a second type of item having attributes where an attribute of the first attributes is the same as an attribute of the second attributes. The method also includes determining a first margin based on the first values. The first attributes, the second attributes, and the first margin are input as training data for the machine learning model where the machine learning model is trained with the training data. The monitoring operations for the first item and the second item are repeated to obtain a second value for the first and second items. Furthermore, the trained machine learning model is applied to the second values to determine a second margin.

A method and apparatus for a commerce platform coordinating a purchase of a product sold by a merchant system through a third party application are described. The method may include receiving a notification from the third party application requesting to purchase a product from within the third party application, wherein the notification comprises an identifier for the product and an identifier for the merchant system that sells the product. The method may also include a product checkout interface having an appearance consistent with an appearance of a user interface of the third party application, and transmitting the product checkout interface generated by the commerce platform to a user device executing the third party application causing the third party application to render the product checkout interface within at least a portion of the user interface of the third party application.

Garnering interest on potential listing in a photo or video

Various implementations described herein are able to leverage the interaction from one or more potential buyers relative to a digital image to automatically create a sales listing for items that appear to be of interest to the buyers. This reduces or eliminates all together the manual effort previously required of sellers in researching and collecting data on each item they wish to sell. Because of their technical nature, the innovative solutions described herein are also readily scalable which, in turn, greatly improves the seller's experience. Based on buyer interaction experiences, sales listings for each item for sale can be automatically created and listed.

If either the shopper or the salesperson in any single interaction is unavailable, then the AI will attempt to schedule a future connection between the shopper and a salesperson. The AI will continue to follow up between the online shopper and salespersons until a connection is made or the online shopper indicates they are no longer interested.
