A distributed computing system (10) for locating product, comprising: a plurality of user devices (19); a product server (18) in communication over a network (15) with the plurality of user devices (19); and a product database (16) storing product data corresponding to a plurality of products, wherein each user device (19) is configured to: receive a user input to share an image with the product server (18); extract image data corresponding to the image from an image data source (13); and transmit the extracted image data to the product server (18), and wherein the product server (18) is configured to: in response to receiving the image data from one of the plurality of user devices (19), retrieve the image from an image source (12) based on the received image data; match the retrieved image with at least one of a plurality of products based on the product data stored in the product database (16); and transmit product data corresponding to the at least one product to the one of the plurality of user devices (19) in order to enable the one of the plurality of user devices (19) to display information relating to the at least one product.

The method comprises receiving a first input data (102, 202, 302) including internal information on the intermediate product, receiving a second input data (104, 204, 304) including external information on raw material(s) used for the intermediate product, processing at least the first input data (102, 202, 302) according to a life cycle assessment method in order to produce an intermediate product-specific life cycle parameter, processing at least the second input data (104, 204, 304) in order to produce an intermediate product-specific sustainability parameter, providing an intermediate product-specific sustainability indicator (108) comprising the intermediate product-specific life cycle parameter and the intermediate product-specific sustainability parameter, and associating the intermediate product-specific sustainability indicator (108) for the intermediate product.
Customized Merchant Price Ratings
Aspects described herein may allow for generating a customized price rating using a machine learning algorithm. This may have the effect of improving the display of information about merchants by including customized, personalized price ratings that better reflect the tastes and preferences of a user or group of users. According to some aspects, these and other benefits may be achieved by using a machine learning model, trained to receive input corresponding to both user data and merchant data and output an indication of a customized price rating for the merchant that is specific to the user, and then to generate information about the merchant for display that includes the customized price rating.

The browser may have a plug-in which allows the user to capture data from a target website, and send the data to a secure server which has access to or which stores data from the legitimate content owner or user. The data is then analysed to determine whether its use on the target website is authorised or legitimate, or not, and a warning or clearance message can then be sent from the secure server to the browser-enabled device to display that message to the user.

In some embodiments, there is provided a system for automatically recommending an item to a customer comprising a plurality of items available for purchase; a portable electronic device configured to obtain identifying data corresponding to a first item collected by a user; and a control circuit configured to receive data associated with the first item; determine a location in the retail store of the first item; identify one or more items previously purchased by the user that are located within a threshold proximity to the location; determine a most frequently bought item of the identified one or more items; and cause a portable electronic device to display a suggestion for the user to collect the most frequently bought item and add the most frequently bought item to an electronic shopping list of items to purchase.

In some embodiments, systems are provided to enable a consumer to search the inventory of an enable a consumer to search the inventory of a plurality of unaffiliated brick-and-mortar retail entities to facilitate purchase opportunities.
