AUGMENTED REALITY WIRELESS PLANNING AND TROUBLESHOOTING

The present technology includes calculating the 3-D RF propagation pattern in a space for at least one Wi-Fi access point and displaying a visualization of the RF propagation pattern in augmented reality (AR). The augmented reality view of the space can be created by capturing at least one image of the space and displaying at least one image of the space on a display with the visualization of the Wi-Fi access point RF propagation pattern on the display overlaid at least one image of the space. The disclosed technology further can calculate the RF propagation properties and render a visualization of the RF propagation patterns in a 3D space by utilizing hardware on a user device. The AR display is useful in visualizing, in-person aspects of a Wi-Fi network and coverage, and can be used in troubleshooting, maintenance, and simulations of equipment variations.

The first and second representations are registered with one another. An exploded representation is generated from the first and second representations, that shows both the internal surface and the external surface. The exploded representation is presented to a user.

Method for scripting inter-scene transitions

A method for authoring and displaying a virtual tour of a three-dimensional space which employs transitional effects simulating motion. An authoring tool is provided for interactively defining a series of locations in the space for which two-dimensional images, e.g., panoramas, photographs, etc., are available. A user identifies one or more view directions for a first-person perspective viewer for each location. For pairs of locations in the series, transitional effects are identified to simulate smooth motion between the pair of locations. The authoring tool stores data corresponding to the locations, view directions and transitional effects for playback on a display. When the stored data is accessed, a virtual tour of the space is created that includes transitional effects simulating motion between locations. The virtual tour created can allow a viewer to experience the three-dimensional space in a realistic manner.

Image display methods

The present disclosure discloses an image display method in a CT system. The method comprises: implementing CT scanning on an inspected object, to obtain CT projection data; organizing the CT projection data according to a predetermined interval; extracting basic data from the organized CT projection data by using a fixed angle as a start angle and using 360 degrees as an interval; forming a DR image based on the extracted basic data; reconstructing a three-dimensional image of the inspected object from the CT projection data; and displaying the DR image and the reconstructed three-dimensional image on a screen at the same time. In the solution, the CT data is processed to obtain DR data. After the DR data is obtained, a DR image is obtained directly using a DR data processing algorithm. This enables an image recognizer to more accurately and more rapidly inspect goods carried by a passenger using the existing experience in image recognition of the DR image.

A method and apparatus for applying a two-dimensional image on a three-dimensional model composed of a polygonal mesh. The method comprises generating an adjacency structure for all triangles within the mesh, identifying a triangle within membrane containing the desired centre point, calculating spatial distances between the three vertices and desired centre checking each triangle edge to see if the distances show an intersection, if a collision is detected add the triangle to the list and iteratively processing all the triangles in the list calculate the spatial data of the single unknown vertex, check the two edges of the triangle to see if the calculated distances show an intersection, if an intersection occurs add this new triangle to the list; transforming into UV-coordinates; and applying the two-dimensional image to the three-dimensional model using the UV-coordinates.
