Systems, devices, methods, and program products enhancing structure walkthroughs
Systems, devices, methods, and program products for enhancing structure walkthroughs are disclosed. In various embodiments, a method includes: monitoring a current location of an interested party (IP) device utilizing data collected by the IP device during a walkthrough of a structure having a structure representative (SR); detecting, based on the current location of the IP device, when the IP device is brought into proximity of a first SR-marked location included in a plurality of structure SR-marked locations; and in response to detecting that the IP device has been brought into proximity of the first SR-marked location, (i) identifying a first SR-created message corresponding to the first SR-marked location and contained in a location-referenced message set; and (ii) generating or causing generation of an SR message notification on the IP device, the SR message notification presenting or offering to present the first SR-created message to the interested party.
ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM
A method and apparatus of access control as described. A touch of a touch zone of an access controller including a body area network (BAN) transceiver is detected. In response to detecting the touch, a request from an access controller comprising a BAN transceiver via a body area network is transmitted to a user of a portable device including a BAN transceiver and a biometric sensor. The request is received by the portable device via the BAN network. In response to receiving the request, the portable device transmits a digital key comprising biometric data detected by the biometric sensor and a digital identifier from the portable device to the access controller via the BAN network. The user is authenticated by the access controller using the digital key. The access controller controls and actuator to lock or unlock a door in response to the user being authenticated.
Systems and methods for location-based automated authentication
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for location-based automated authentication are disclosed. A system comprises a mobile device, a sensor and a backend platform. The sensor and the backend platform are in network communication. The mobile device is operable to continuously transmit Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) signals comprising encrypted transitory identifiers. The sensor is operable to receive a BLE signal from the mobile device when the mobile device is within a predetermined range, and communicate over a network connection the encrypted transitory identifier comprised in the BLE signal to the backend platform. The backend platform is operable to extract a unique identifier and a changing encrypted identifier from the received encrypted transitory identifier, generate a changing encrypted identifier, and validate a user identification by comparing the generated changing encrypted identifier and the extracted changing encrypted identifier.
Method for operating a door and components related to the same
A method of operating a door system includes receiving a signal from a pressure sensor disposed in a sill or a frame of the door system, authenticating the user after receiving the signal, shifting the lock from a locked configured to an unlocked configuration in response to receiving the signal after authenticating the user, and moving the door panel from a closed position to an ajar position in response to receiving the signal.
Handle assembly for vehicular closure panels having integrated antenna and force sensor configuration
A vehicular exterior component, such as a handle assembly for a closure of a vehicle, includes a force-based sensor disposed behind an outer wall and responsive to forces applied thereto. The vehicular exterior component may include a force-sensitive printed circuit board (PCB) configured to detect touch forces at either of an inner surface or an outer surface of the outer wall of the vehicular exterior component and to distinguish between those different touch forces in order to provide corresponding unlock or lock signals. A short-range RADAR antenna may be disposed within the vehicular exterior component and adjacent to the outer wall. A passive keyless entry (PKE) antenna may also disposed within the vehicular exterior component and adjacent to the outer wall.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING A TIME AT WHICH A VEHICLE FUNCTION OF A VEHICLE IS BROUGHT INTO USE
At least one vehicle and at least one key element, each associated with a corresponding vehicle, are configured to exchange data with one another via a system that determines the vehicle position and the position of the key element. The system places the vehicle in a driving operating mode when the vehicle position and the key element position are essentially the same, in particular when the key element is located inside the vehicle. At least one vehicle function that can be activated when the vehicle is stationary is automatically switched on depending on a current key element position. This may occur when a key element position is changing relative to the vehicle position, but the vehicle and the associated key element are remote from one another, such as separated by at least ten meters.
HANDLE ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICULAR CLOSURE PANELS HAVING INTEGRATED ANTENNA AND FORCE SENSOR CONFIGURATION
A vehicular door handle assembly includes a handle portion, and first and second sensors disposed within the handle portion. The first sensor is configured to communicate with a remote device. The second sensor is configured to sense force applied at a deformable portion of an outer wall of the handle portion. The first sensor, responsive to communication with the remote device, communicates a first signal to an electronic control unit. The second sensor communicates a second signal to the electronic control unit for controlling the vehicular door handle assembly responsive to sensing by the second sensor of force applied by a user at the deformable portion of the outer wall. Responsive to the first signal and responsive to the second signal, the electronic control unit allows the door of the vehicle to be opened by the user.
Systems, Devices, Methods, and Program Products Enhancing Structure Walkthroughs
Systems, devices, methods, and program products for enhancing structure walkthroughs are disclosed. In various embodiments, a method includes establishing whether an interested party is properly granted access to a structure to conduct a walkthrough. If establishing that the interested party is properly granted access to the structure, (i) instructions are transmitted to a gatekeeper device to grant the interested party access to the structure, (ii) the server end determines whether an alert condition occurs during or immediately following the walkthrough utilizing a current location of the IP device, and (iii) a notification is generated on the IP device indicative of the alert condition when detected. The alert condition may be a determination that the interested party remains within the structure following elapse of the walkthrough, or a determination that the interested party is traveling away from the structure without completion of a mandatory check-out process.
