Multi-site building access using mobile credentials

Methods and systems for managing facility access credentials for two or more facilities are disclosed. The method may include electronically receiving a user request to gain access to a designated facility of the two or more facilities and electronically receiving user information related to a user that is making the user request. A facility access credential from a group of facility access credentials that are assigned by a third-party credential issuer may be obtained and linked to the user information and the designated facility. The obtained facility access credential for use in gaining access to the designated facility may be activated resulting in an activated facility access credential and a notification transmitted to the user notifying the user of the activated facility access credential.

APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VEHICLE ACCESS AND FUNCTION CONTROL UTILIZING A PORTABLE DEVICE
20180009416 · 2018-01-11 ·

A system for providing dynamic access to a vehicle via a plurality of devices. A device and/or a server of an authentication network stored fob data relating to one or more key fobs linked to the vehicle, and device data that includes data relating to one or more devices linked to the key fob that are authorized to access the vehicle. The vehicle receives an access request indicating that a new device is requesting access to the vehicle, whereupon a challenge may be transmitted to one or more of the authorized devices. The one or more devices may respond, granting access to vehicle functions. The vehicle and/or authentication network generate a secure fob key and access limitations based on the response and transmit the secure fob key to the new device. Profile templates may be used to set and control vehicle access and functions.

WIRELESS ACCESS CREDENTIAL SYSTEM

An access control system and methods according to at least one embodiment leverage wireless access credentials to allow a user to securely gain access to a secured area using his or her mobile device. As such, a credentialed mobile device may permit access to the secured area without requiring a real-time connection to a credential management system and/or an administrative system.

ASSET CONTROL SYSTEM

A system for storing a plurality of tangible assets, the system having an RF component associable with a tangible asset, wherein the RF component has a unique identifier and is configured to receive a carrier signal and emit a modulated carrier signal, wherein modulation of the carrier signal is based on the unique identifier. The system also has an RF detection system having a plurality of RF coils, wherein each coil is arranged to emit a carrier signal and receive the modulated carrier signal emitted by the RF component, a processor in communication with each of the plurality of RF coils, wherein the processor is configured to poll the plurality of RF coils by selectively allowing current to flow through one or more of the plurality of RF coils at a time and identify the RF component based on modulation of the carrier signal.

CREDENTIAL GATEWAY

Methods and systems are provided for performing operations comprising: receiving, by a credential gateway from a client device, a request to obtain a digital credential for accessing a secure resource, the credential gateway being configured to coordinate an exchange of digital credentials associated with different secure resource types with a plurality of client devices; communicating the request to a server associated with the secure resource; receiving, by the credential gateway from the server associated with the secure resource, a data object that includes the digital credential; selecting, by the credential gateway, based on the data object, a security protocol from a plurality of security protocols; and providing, by the credential gateway, the digital credential to the client device in accordance with the selected security protocol.

Management method for electronic locks

A management method for electronic locks includes obtaining a manager mobile device with management authorities of a plurality of locks. The manager mobile device can be connected any one of the plurality of locks, and the lock connected to the manager mobile device switches to a writing mode. The lock connected to the manager mobile device writes the unlocking authority of at least one of the plurality of locks into a door access card. When the door access card is identified by one of the plurality of locks as being correct, the one of the plurality of locks is unlocked.

Electronic locking systems, methods, and apparatus

Electronic locking devices, systems, and methods may require the utilization of an electronic key generated by an electronic key generation device. The electronic key may be generated using a data payload received from a server and/or an administrative device. The administrative device is enabled to remotely manage the locking device and locking system via, for example, a software application running on the administrative device and/or a website.

Sharing system access using a mobile device

Techniques are disclosed relating to using a device to gain access to another system. In some embodiments, a first mobile device performs a pairing operation with a control unit that controls access to a system, the pairing operation including the first mobile device establishing a first cryptographic key with the control unit. The first mobile device receives a request to enable a second mobile device to communicate with the control unit, and in response to receiving the request, the first mobile device generates a second cryptographic key from the first cryptographic key. The first mobile device provides the second cryptographic key to the second mobile device. The second mobile device is configured to send a beacon including a payload encrypted with the second cryptographic key, and the encrypted payload is usable to authenticate the second mobile device to the control unit.

Phone as a key predictive vehicle access

A computer-implemented method includes predicting, via a predictive analytical model, a time interval associated with a future key-on event for a vehicle. The predictive analytical model is based at least in part on key-on event data. The method includes generating, based at least in part on the predicted time interval, a power mode instruction configured to cause a vehicle Telematics Control Unit (TCU) or Phone as a Key (PaaK) system to change a TCU state from a low energy state to a higher energy state, and transmitting, based on the predicted time interval, the power mode instruction to the vehicle TCU.
