Drive transmission switching mechanism, paper sheet storage unit, and paper sheet processing device
Provided is a drive transmission switching mechanism that can switch and drive two circulation units by one motor in response to a switching operation of a paper sheet transport direction. A paper sheet storage unit includes a first circulation unit 100 and a second circulation unit 200 that respectively receive transported paper sheets upon reception of a drive force from a single motor 302 and feed paper sheets stored therein, a sorter 310 that sorts paper sheets to either one of the circulation units, and a drive transmission switching mechanism 400 that transmits a drive force from the motor to either one of the circulation units. The drive transmission switching mechanism is activated in conjunction with an operation to change the posture of the sorter, thereby switching and transmitting the drive force to either one of the circulation units.

Security container cassette for banknotes or values for ATM (automated teller machine)
A security container cassette for banknotes or values for Cash machines, ATM, and the like is provided, defining an internal volume and including: a first container arranged in the internal volume and close to an external portion of the security container cassette and banknotes and values, the first container having an internal volume separated from the external portion of the security container cassette by at least one separating wall, including passage windows or weakened upper portions, the first container being designed to contain marking fluid.
Computer-based systems configured to detect fraudulent activities related to card-transacting devices and methods of use thereof
Systems and methods of detecting fraudulent activity including skimmers adapted to compromise transacting devices such as automated teller machines (ATMs) are disclosed. In one embodiment, an exemplary computer-implemented method may comprise determining that a subject device has a risk level higher than a risk threshold, providing a push notification to a mobile device proximal to the subject device, executing a software application executed by the mobile device for gathering information and transmitting feedback regarding the subject device, and providing an incentive, upon receipt of the feedback, to, for example, an account or device associated with an individual involved with the feedback or interaction with the device.

Banknote deposit machine
A banknote deposit machine is able to receive banknotes, preferably so as to make a payment, wherein the banknote machine is permanently connected via a data link to a (cloud) storage system, or is designed to establish a temporary data link with the (cloud) storage system. Banknote data, such as image data or serial number data, etc., specifically of banknotes which are considered stolen or which were handed over as a result of a crime, for example as a ransom, are stored in the (cloud) storage system. Whenever the banknote deposit machine receives a banknote whose identification appears suspicious, for example because the banknote has a serial number that is stored in the (cloud) storage system, feedback is sent to the operator of the banknote machine and/or the payment transaction is terminated and/or an appropriate institution or authority, for example the police or a security service, is automatically informed.

BANKNOTE STORAGE CONTAINER
A banknote storage container (1) comprising a housing (2) enclosing an internal banknote receiving compartment (8), said housing (2) including a banknote input aperture (3) in communication with a banknote receiving compartment ingress opening (3′); the banknote receiving compartment (8) includes a pair of pivotable bascule members (4, 5), said bascule members (4, 5) disposed in opposing lateral positions within the banknote receiving compartment, and each of said pair of bascule members (4, 5) includes a gate element (16) disposed at an end of the bascule member proximal to the ingress opening (3′) and a banknote contact portion (15) at an end of the bascule member distal from the ingress opening (3′); and the banknote contact portion (15) of each of said bascule members (4, 5) protrudes into the banknote receiving compartment (8) such that when a leading edge of a banknote received into said banknote receiving compartment (8) simultaneously comes into contact with the banknote contact portion (15) of each of said bascule members (4, 5), the bascule members pivot from an ingress opening open position to an ingress opening closed position where the gate element (16) of each of said bascule members obstructs the ingress opening (3′) to prevent ingress of a subsequent banknote or retrieval of the received banknote from without the banknote storage container.
ARRANGEMENT FOR ACCESS SECURITY TO A PHYSICAL UNIT OF AN APPARATUS FOR HANDLING VALUE DOCUMENTS
An arrangement for securing access to a modular unit arranged outside a safe of a device for handling notes of value comprises a security element, which is fastened to a door of the safe, and an indicator for recording tampering with the security element connected to the safe door. The security element restricts access to the modular unit when the safe door is closed and does not restrict access when the safe door is open.
