A packaging unit and method for packaging pharmaceuticals into pouches. The packaging unit includes a feed stock roll to form pouches and an electronic processor electrically coupled to the packaging equipment. The electronic processor is configured to determine an amount of pharmaceuticals being loaded into the pouch, determine a length of the pouch based on the amount of pharmaceuticals, and control the packaging equipment to form the pouch having the length.

A system for picking items from a containerised storage system is described. The items are stored in storage bins in stacks within a framework comprising a grid system disposed above the stacks of bins. Robotic devices are disposed on the grid, the devices acting so as to pick containers from the stacks of bins. The plurality of objects include an adhesively applied target on at least one of the cellophane outer coverings, the adhesively applied target having a surface area greater than a surface area circumscribed by a lowermost edge of the suction cup, and the suction cup includes a threaded tubular member extending axially therein through, the threaded tubular member including stops that engage an upper and lower surface of the suction cup.

A system for automatic filling of medication organizers comprises i) a storage unit for medication containers that is accessible from a first side thereof, ii) a plurality of medication organizer filling units, each having a temporary storage rack that is accessible from a side of the medication filling units that faces the storage unit, and iii) a container handling system that is positioned between the storage unit and the temporary storage racks and that is movable between the storage unit and each of the temporary storage racks for transferring selected medication containers therebetween. A method to optimize operation of a parcel terminal having a mast and a loader attached thereto, the mast being configured to move horizontally within the parcel terminal and the loader being configured to move vertically within the parcel terminal and the method comprises synchronizing by using a computing device, a horizontal movement of the mast and a vertical movement of the loader based on the calculated horizontal travel time and the calculated vertical travel time. The method enables longer lifetime of participating components as well as longer service intervals of the terminal.

The medicine dispensing system includes, in some embodiments a main unit, a sub unit and a transfer device connecting the main unit and the sub unit. The medicine dispensing system transfers the medicine dispensed in the sub unit to the main unit by means of a transfer device and dispenses the medicine at a medicine packing part together with the medicine dispensed from a main storage part in the main unit.
