Connected car as a payment device
Methods, systems, apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable media are described for using a vehicle as a payment device. Various aspects may include receiving a selection of a stored financial card or financial account at a vehicle head unit. The selected financial card or financial account may be transmitted to a point-of-sale (POS) terminal for making a payment by transmitting a tokenized card number to the POS terminal. The tokenized card number may be transmitted over a very short-range communication link to ensure that the transmission is secure. For example, electronic circuitry may be attached to the exterior of the vehicle, where the electronic circuitry may be within a threshold distance (e.g. one inch, three inches, six inches, one foot, three feet, etc.) of the POS terminal. The tokenized card number may be transmitted from the vehicle head unit to the electronic circuitry and then to the POS terminal.
Additive injection system for a retail fueling station and related methods
An additive injection system includes an additive injection controller operable to: (a) receive fuel data; (b) determine, from the fuel data, a total fuel amount corresponding to a total volume of fuel present in a fuel tank; (c) determine an untreated fuel amount corresponding to a delivered volume of untreated fuel delivered into the fuel tank, the untreated fuel amount determined based on the total fuel amount and a treated fuel amount corresponding to an expected volume of treated fuel expected to be present in the fuel tank; and (d) in response to determining that the untreated fuel amount exceeds an injection threshold, generate an injection signal to initiate injection of fuel additive into a fuel stream of untreated fuel being delivered into the fuel tank via the fuel tank inlet.
METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND DEVICES FOR LOADING CURRENCY INTO AN ELECTRONIC WALLET
Various methods, systems, and devices for loading currency into an electronic wallet are provided. In general, a currency acceptance terminal can be configured to accept currency from a user for loading into the user's electronic wallet, which may be used to purchase products from a merchant. The currency acceptance terminal can be unmanned such that the currency can be accepted and loaded into the electronic wallet without a cashier or other employee handling the currency or the currency acceptance terminal.
System and method to process transactions at retail fueling stations using a mobile device
A method of processing a transaction includes receiving a site location code. Site configuration information corresponding to the received site location code is received from a database. That information includes more product record(s), each corresponding to a reservable product or a non-reservable product. A selection of one or more of the product records in the retrieved information is received. If any selected product record corresponds to a reservable product, a reservation command is produced. That command requests reservation of selected reservable product(s). A method of selecting a product includes receiving a location input and determining a site location code with it. The site location code is transmitted and one or more product records are received. Representations of one or more of the received product records are presented and a selection of products is received. An indication of the selection is transmitted.
PAY BY PLATE
Systems and methods for streamlined vehicle fueling and payment are provided. In an example, the present disclosure is directed to an automated, seamless payment system for use at a gas station or convenience store. In particular, the application is related to a payment system for use at a pay at pump arrangement that does not require the user to provide a specific payment method at the time of the gas pump use.
ACTIVATION OF VAPORIZER DEVICES
A method for activating a vaporizer device may include a point-of-sale device receiving, based on an identifier of the vaporizer device, activation data associated with the vaporizer device. The vaporizer device may be activated by communicating, to the vaporizer device, the activation data. The point-of-sale device may communicate the activation data to the vaporizer device via a dock coupled with the vaporizer device. Moreover, the point-of-sale device may communicate the activation data to the vaporizer device through a packaging of the vaporizer device. Alternatively, the point-of-sale device may communicates the activation data to the vaporizer device by communicating the activation data to a computing device associated with a user of the vaporizer device. The computing device may further communicate the activation data to the vaporizer device via audio signals and/or optical signals corresponding to the activation data. Related systems and articles of manufacture are also provided.
SAFETY INDEX FOR THE CALCULATION OF A RATING BASED ON USER GENERATED REPORTS OR ACTIONS AND REWARDS SYSTEM THEREFOR
The method and system allows for users to share and be rewarded for information submitted or actions performed, including reports containing messages, images, videos, and geolocation data, of any issues they encounter. The submissions can be shared with the appropriate organization and/or stored on a server, and uploaded to a blockchain to ensure that there is a permanent, tamper-proof record verifying the authenticity of all related transactions. Each submission or action can be verified to create a rating for each user. The system can have the ability to reward users with digital value in return for receiving and verifying authenticity of the information, and to provide such users with the ability to redeem those rewards for goods and services.

Systems and methods for detecting and reporting anomalies in utility meters
Systems and methods for utility intervention are disclosed. The method of utility intervention includes: obtaining utility data from a utility data repository, (ii) detecting, using at least one type of anomaly-detecting module, at least one utility anomaly and a location address; (iii) calculating an amount of financial savings for the utility anomaly if the utility anomaly was remedied or addressed; (iv) computing a certainty score for the utility anomaly; (v) conveying information about the type of utility anomaly, and the location address of the utility anomaly; and (vi) displaying, on a display screen of a client device, a map depicting a geographical area that identifies, using a flag icon, the location address on the map of the utility anomaly, the type of the utility anomaly, a certainty score for the utility anomaly, and/or an amount of financial savings associated with the utility anomaly.
