The mount cage assembly facilitates tilting the bill validator backward from the bill insertion position to a servicing position that allows access to the bill validator for servicing from a back of the EGM cabinet. The mount cage assembly additionally facilitates lowering the bill validator from the bill insertion position to a collections position, such that the cash box can be accessed for collections. The mount cage assembly provides a way to easily service the bill validator while keeping the cash box secure.
