Systems and methods for employing a joystick sequence to authenticate a user

Systems and methods for authenticating identification information are disclosed. For example, a system may include an Automated Teller Machine (ATM). An ATM may comprise a user interface. The user interface may comprise a joystick. The user interface may be configured to receive joystick input from a user. The ATM may comprise at least one memory storing instructions. The ATM may comprise at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to perform operations. The operations may comprise receiving identification information from the user. The operations may comprise receiving the joystick input. The operations may comprise extracting a joystick sequence from the joystick input. When the joystick sequence is within a predetermined threshold from a stored joystick sequence corresponding to the identification information, the operations may comprise authenticating the user for an ATM operation.

Specialized transaction execution via assistive devices

Systems, methods, and apparatus are provided for secure transaction execution at an assistive device. Assistive devices include technologies that support people with disabilities in daily tasks, such as mobility aids or vision aids. An assistive device may be preregistered with a financial institution. The financial institution may generate a first hash incorporating a customer identifier and a device identifier. At the time of transaction, an active session may be initiated with the assistive device at a POS terminal, self-service kiosk, or financial institution. The assistive device may use short range wireless communication such as NFC or UWB to transmit the customer identifier and device identifier. A second hash may be generated and compared to the first hash to authenticate the device. Following authentication, the transaction may be completed at the assistive device via user inputs to the assistive device.

MULTI-SCREEN AUTOMATED TELLER MACHINE (ATM)/AUTOMATED TELLER ASSIST (ATA) MACHINES FOR USE BY WHEELCHAIR USERS
20180012207 · 2018-01-11 ·

An automated teller machine (ATM) including multiple user screens is provided. The ATM preferably includes an ATM processor, an ATM user information input device and/or an ATM receiver, a customer-facing ATM touch screen configured to display an initial ATM display, an ATM dispenser configured to dispense a cash withdrawal amount in the event that an ATM central processing unit (CPU) receives information relating to a selection of the cash withdrawal amount. The ATM may further include a second, customer-facing, touch screen configured to selectably display an automated teller assist (ATA) display configured to provide a video display of a live teller located at a remote location.

Hardware device for entering a pin via tapping on a touch screen display

A device and associated methods for entering a PIN via tapping are disclosed. The device can be configured to determine a number of taps provided by a PIN holder on a touch sensor in representation of a PIN digit and to store the number of taps as a digit in a sequence that represents the PIN. Indications for interaction with the device can be provided to PIN holders in the form of auditory cues. A visually impaired PIN holder may be able to complete a PIN entry process by following the indications for interaction, tapping on a touch sensor a number of times equal to the value of the digit of the PIN to be entered, and performing gestures mapped to commands for the device.

Multi-factor automated teller machine (ATM) personal identification number(PIN)

An automated teller machine (ATM) may include an input component and one or more processors. The input component may be configured to detect multi-factor input associated with an account. The multi-factor input may include at least two of: a sequence of characters input via the input component, a force with which at least one character, of the sequence of characters, is input via the input component, a length of time over which at least one character, of the sequence of characters, is input via the input component, or a combination of at least two characters, of the sequence of characters, that are input concurrently via the input component. The ATM may receive the multi-factor input, validate the multi-factor input in association with the account, and selectively permit or deny access to one or more actions associated with the account based on validating the multi-factor input.

Smart chaining

Identification information is received at a transaction machine. The identification information is associated with a user associated with an account. Using an activity profile of the user, a determination is made to enable chained transactions during the user's use of the transaction machine. A sequence of user interfaces to display to the user is generated enabling the user to chain transactions based on the activity profile.

Systems and methods for completing transactions via lockable boxes

A method performed by a processor of a provider computing system includes allowing an account holder at the provider to initiate a transaction with the provider remotely (e.g., via smartphone, online banking, etc.), by submitting a request for a specified transaction to be picked up in a lockbox at a provider's lockbox location. The pickup and completion of the account holder's requested transaction occurs at a lockbox location that has a plurality of lockboxes. The lockbox allows the account holder to access the facility at the account holder's leisure, both in time and location. The lockbox pickup service alleviates the uncertainty, fluctuating time cost, and inconvenient operating hours by allowing the account holder to request transactions with an easy to use interface resulting in a lockbox to be accordingly prepped so that the account holder can provide the proper authentication information and access the lockbox.

MEDIA SANITIZING CASSETTE AND METHOD OF OPERATION

A valuable media sanitizing/cleansing cassette is provided for sanitizing/cleansing surfaces of valuable media dispensed to a consumer during a dispense transaction at a transaction terminal. Dispensed media is urged from one or more media cassettes within the terminal along a transport path. The transport path is altered to pass the media through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette where the top and bottom surfaces of the media are illuminated with Ultraviolet (UV) radiation to eradicate any bacteria or virus that may be adhered to the top or the bottom surfaces of the media. Once the media passes through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette, the now sanitized/cleansed media is urged along a remainder of the transport path and dispensed from a media interface of the terminal to the consumer. In an embodiment, media deposited at the terminal is also sanitized/cleansed by passing through the sanitizing/cleansing cassette before being stored in the appropriate media cassettes.

ESCROW CLUTCH PROTECTION
20230216440 · 2023-07-06 ·

Disclosed are systems and methods for protecting an escrow clutch of a self-service terminal. The systems and methods may include actuating a motor of the self-service terminal to cause an escrow clutch of the self-service terminal to spin at a rate. As the clutch spins, a determination as to when a clutch slippage exceeds a preset slippage rate may be made. When the clutch slippage exceeds the preset slippage rate, the motor may be actuated to cause the escrow clutch to spin at a second rate. The second rate may less than the first rate.

Modular automated transaction machine

An automated transaction machine can include a user-interface device, a computing device, a battery, a head portion, a first socket-half, a first electrical rail, and a relay. The a user-interface device can be configured to receive an input from a user and transmit the input. The computing device can receive the input. The battery can selectively direct electric power to the user-interface device and the computing device, which can all be housed in the head portion. The first socket-half can be exposed on an outside surface of the head portion and direct power to the user-interface device, the computing device, and the battery. The relay can be arranged to connect the battery and the first electrical rail in a first configuration and be switched between the first configuration and the second configuration by an output signal of the first socket-half.
