Deploying physical diamond tokens on a blockchain
A diamond asset comprising one or more diamonds and an encryption chip is used to asset-back a cryptographic token that can be used to conduct transactions. The cryptographic token is written to a blockchain using a smart contract that is configured to enable a transaction associated with the token in response to two or more of: a signature by the encryption chip, a signature by the owner of the diamond asset, and a validation of a visual layout of the diamond asset.
Tamper resistant device for an integrated circuit card
A tamper resistant device can be used for an integrated circuit card. The device includes memory storing a first security domain that includes a telecommunication profile and a second security domain that includes an application profile. A first physical interface is configured to be coupled to a baseband processor configured to operate with a mobile telecommunications network. A second physical interface configured to be coupled to an application processor. The first physical interface configured to allow the baseband processor to access the telecommunication profile and the second physical interface is configured to allow the application processor to access the application profile. The tamper resistant device is configured to enable accessibility to the application profile if corresponding commands are received at the first interface and to enable accessibility to the telecommunication profile if corresponding commands are received at the second interface.
Authorizing a payment with a multi-function transaction card
A multi-function transaction card may include a card body having dimensions that are in accordance with a standard for transaction cards, an output device on the card body, and a secure element within the card body. The multi-function transaction card may pair, via a wireless connection, the multi-function transaction card with a terminal. The multi-function transaction card may receive, from the terminal, information associated with a transaction. The multi-function transaction card may generate, based on the information associated with the transaction, and using a cryptographic key, an authorization request cryptogram (ARQC), wherein the cryptographic key is stored in the secure element. The multi-function transaction card may generate, based on the ARQC, a machine-readable code. The multi-function transaction card may display, using the output device, the machine-readable code.
Trusted service manager (TSM) architectures and methods
A client device comprises a first secure element and a second secure element. The first secure element comprises a first computer-readable medium having a payment application comprising instructions for causing the client device to initiate a financial transaction. The second secure element comprises a second computer-readable medium having a security key, a payment instrument, stored authentication data and instructions for generating a secure payment information message responsive to the payment application. The secure payment information message comprises the payment instrument and is encrypted in accordance with the security key.
Multi-faced payment card with partitioned dual smart chips and antennae
The disclosed embodiments provide a payment card. The payment card may have a first face and a second face opposite the first. Additionally, the payment card may comprise a first smart chip, the first smart chip having contacts that are electronically accessible from the first face of the card. The payment card may further comprise a first antenna coupled to the first smart chip, the first antenna providing near-field contactless access to the first smart chip and a second smart chip, the second smart chip having contacts that are electronically accessible from the second face of the card. Additionally, the payment card may comprise a second antenna coupled to the second smart chip, the second antenna providing near-field contactless access to the second smart chip and an RF block that electronically isolates the first antenna and the second antenna from each other.
CARD AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE CARD
The invention relates to a card, in particular a chip card, including a computing unit for managing electronic coin data records, the electronic coin data records being issued by a central entity, and a card body with visible data and at least one visible feature. The central entity is at the same time the issuer or administrator of a series of banknotes and the at least one visible feature identifies the card as part of the series of banknotes to an observer. In addition, a method for producing such a card is also proposed.
Multi-functional authentication apparatus and operating method for the same
A multi-functional authentication apparatus and an operation method for the same are provided. The multi-functional authentication apparatus integrates multiple communication modules into one device. A biometric authentication procedure is firstly performed when activating this multi-functional authentication apparatus. A security code is generated through a security authentication mechanism provided by this apparatus after reading biometric features. After that, according to a connection protocol, one of the communication modules of the multi-functional authentication apparatus is activated to connect with an external host. The security code is transmitted to the host via the communication module for identifying a user. The multi-functional authentication apparatus acts as an authenticator that allows a user to login to a computer system or obtain a network service after authentication. The multi-functional authentication apparatus also provides authentication for the user to open an access control device or conduct a mobile payment.
MULTIPURPOSE CARD AND READING SYSTEM FOR SAID MULTIPURPOSE CARD
A structure of a multipurpose card having a semi-transparent or transparent stone is provided. The stone is a faceted precious stone, such as a diamond. The diamond is illuminated from only one side of the multipurpose card and light is passed through predetermined optical paths. An image of the diamond is acquired from the opposite side of the multipurpose card and compared to predetermined reference images of the diamond, to authenticate the multipurpose card.
MULTIFACTOR AUTHENTICATION THROUGH CRYPTOGRAPHY-ENABLED SMART CARDS
There are provided systems and methods for multifactor authentication through cryptography-enabled smart cards. A user may engage in transactions or other online interactions that may require multifactor authentication, such as by providing a secondary or further piece of evidence or information that is used to more securely trust the user and that they are not another malicious user. The user may utilize a physical card that includes a microchip embedded to a surface, where the microchip includes a key or other cryptographic signing function to be able to be scanned and digitally sign a request for authentication from a computing device. A user's computing device may then be brought into close proximity to the microchip when a request to scan the card's microchip is received. The user's computing device may then use wireless signals to activate the microchip and perform a multifactor authentication.
