Product merchandising system with enhanced security features

This disclosure is directed to product merchandising systems that and designed to prevent brute force attempts to steal a product on display. The merchandising systems include security features that enhances the strength of the connection between a puck assembly and a base assembly and between the base assembly and a display surface. The merchandising systems are suited for withstanding brute force pulling attacks on the puck assembly and the base assembly.

Intention-based device component tracking system

A component tracking system includes a plurality of devices that each include a device component monitoring subsystem that monitors for and records the addition and/or removal of device components to/from that device. A device component manager system that is coupled to each of the plurality of devices identifies, via a recording by a first device monitoring subsystem in a first device included in the plurality of devices, the removal of a first device component from the first device. The device component manager system then determines, via a recording by a second device component monitoring subsystem in a second device included in the plurality of devices, that the first device component has been added to the second device within a time period and, in response, the device component manager device prevents a removed first device component alarm.

Electrically isolated heat dissipating junction box

A junction box used for making electrical connections to a photovoltaic panel. The junction box has two chambers including a first chamber and a second chamber and a wall common to and separating both chambers. The wall may be adapted to have an electrical connection therethrough. The two lids are adapted to seal respectively the two chambers. The two lids are on opposite sides of the junction box relative to the photovoltaic panel. The two lids may be attachable using different sealing processes to a different level of hermeticity. The first chamber may be adapted to receive a circuit board for electrical power conversion. The junction box may include supports for mounting a printed circuit board in the first chamber. The second chamber is configured for electrical connection to the photovoltaic panel. A metal heat sink may be bonded inside the first chamber.

Systems and methods for protecting retail display merchandise from theft

Security systems and methods for protecting retail display merchandise from theft are provided. For example, a security system includes a sensor configured to removably engage an input port of an item of merchandise, and a monitoring component configured to wirelessly communicate with the sensor and to removably support the sensor thereon, wherein the monitoring component and the sensor are configured to communicate with one another to determine a proximity of the item of merchandise relative to the monitoring component, wherein the monitoring component and/or the sensor is configured to initiate a security signal when the proximity between the monitoring component and the sensor is not within a predetermined range, and wherein the monitoring component and/or the sensor is configured to initiate a security signal in response to the sensor being removed from the input port of the item of merchandise.

Embodiments of the present invention are directed to systems, devices, and methods for displaying and securing articles of merchandise. In one example, a merchandise security system includes a plurality of security devices. Each of the security devices is configured to be attached to an article of merchandise and includes an illumination source for generating a light signal. The system also includes at least one computing device configured to communicate with the illumination sources in order to obtain data from the security devices and/or the articles of merchandise. Each of the security devices is configured to configured to generate a security signal in response to removal of the article of merchandise from the security device.

ATM with sensorized connectors for detecting removal thereof from the PC of the ATM with blocking of the delivery functions
11600157 · 2023-03-07 · ·

The proposed ATM comprises a microcontroller for controlling a banknote dispenser and a computer for managing the ATM, which are arranged inside and outside, respectively, a safe. The computer is provided with one or more ports for interfacing with it; all the ports are occupied by corresponding connectors. A motion sensor is associated with each single connector for detecting any tampering or movements indicative of its removal from the corresponding port; in this case, the dispensing of the banknotes is inhibited, for example, by interrupting an electrical power supply of the microcontroller and/or of the banknote dispenser. A corresponding operation method of the ATM is proposed. A program product for controlling the ATM are also proposed.

Cable alarm tag

The present invention provides an improved cable that includes at least one insulated conductor insulated from and within and inside a insulated second conductor, with both conductors connected with both ends with a cable alarm tag to form a closed electrical circuit, with the loop of the cable connected to an article for securing the article. With the cable of the present invention, if severed, the use of jumper cables will maintain the electrical circuit loop closed for the outer conductor only, but not the insulated inner conductor that is within and inside the outer conductor. Therefore, when severing the cable to disconnect and discontinue the physical loop to remove the secured article, even if cable jumpers are used, the insulated inner conductor will remain open circuited when the cable is cut, resulting in trigger of the alarm.
