Mobile Device Accessory
The subject matter of this specification can be embodied in, among other things, a mobile device accessory includes a housing defining an attachment surface that is configured to engage a mobile device, a wearable component configured to be worn by a user of the mobile device, a separation detector configured to detect separation of the wearable component relative to the housing, and provide a signal when the wearable component becomes separated from the housing, and an alarm device configured to activate in response to the signal. Alternatively, the mobile device accessory may be a standalone device not designed to be attached to a mobile device.
Product merchandising system with enhanced security features
This disclosure is directed to product merchandising systems that and designed to prevent brute force attempts to steal a product on display. The merchandising systems include security features that enhances the strength of the connection between a puck assembly and a base assembly and between the base assembly and a display surface. The merchandising systems are suited for withstanding brute force pulling attacks on the puck assembly and the base assembly.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SECURING DELIVERED PACKAGES
A system and method for securing delivered packages is provided. One embodiment employs a j-shaped or u-shaped support member secured to a fixed location structure; a basket configured to receive a delivered package; an articulated frame that opens to receive the delivered package into the basket; and that closes to secure the delivered package within the basket; a latch; and a controller system controllably coupled to the latch, wherein the controller system releases the latch in response to an arrival of a package so that the articulated frame is opened to receive the delivered package into the basket, and wherein after the articulated frame is closed with the delivered package residing in the basket, the latch is engaged to lock the closed articulated frame.
Boot wire wrap EAS tag
A security tag assembly for placing around a boot, including a circuit board having a processor, and one or more wires electrically connected to the circuit board that form a first opening and a second opening. The first and second openings are respectively configured to receive first and second components of the boot. The assembly further includes a tension switch connected to the one or more wires and having a closed position corresponding to a first tension level on the one or more wires and an open position corresponding to a second tension level on the one or more wires, wherein the second tension level is greater than the first tension level. Further, the processor is configured to monitor whether the tension switch is in at least the open position, wherein the processor is configured to trigger an alarm in response to the switch being in the open position.
ANTI-THEFT DEVICE, IN PARTICULAR FOR CARDBOARD BOXES
The invention relates to an anti-theft device configured to be attached to merchandise to be protected, preferably to cardboard boxes, the anti-theft device comprising a housing, which comprises a winding apparatus rotatably mounted therein, at least one securing-loop arrangement, the securing-loop arrangement being designed to loop around the merchandise to be protected such that the anti-theft device can be securely connected to the merchandise to be protected, and a winding apparatus locking mechanism configured to prevent the rotational unwinding movement of the winding apparatus in the housing, if the winding apparatus locking mechanism is engaged with the winding apparatus.

ELECTRICAL SWITCH USABLE WITH WIRE WRAP EAS TAG
An electrical switch with a conductive bridge, a first wire configured to provide continuity with the conductive bridge, and a biasing member connected to the first wire. The biasing member provides a threshold reaction force to maintain continuity between the first wire and the conductive bridge. The switch further includes a housing that directs tensile forces acting upon the first wire to oppose a reaction force of the biasing member. When a tensile force acting on the first wire exceeds a threshold reaction force of the biasing member continuity between the first wire and the conductive bridge is broken.
Cable alarm tag
The present invention provides an improved cable that includes at least one insulated conductor insulated from and within and inside a insulated second conductor, with both conductors connected with both ends with a cable alarm tag to form a closed electrical circuit, with the loop of the cable connected to an article for securing the article. With the cable of the present invention, if severed, the use of jumper cables will maintain the electrical circuit loop closed for the outer conductor only, but not the insulated inner conductor that is within and inside the outer conductor. Therefore, when severing the cable to disconnect and discontinue the physical loop to remove the secured article, even if cable jumpers are used, the insulated inner conductor will remain open circuited when the cable is cut, resulting in trigger of the alarm.
Mobile Phone Accessory
The subject matter of this specification can be embodied in, among other things, a mobile accessory device that includes a housing having a collapsible grip and defining an attachment surface that is configured to adhere to, attach to, or engage with another surface, a user input apparatus arranged at least partly within the housing and configured to activate in response to input by a user, and a controller arranged at least partly within the housing and configured to activate in response to activation of the user input apparatus and trigger one or more predetermined functions including causing a mobile device to perform one or more predetermined mobile device functions.
Merchandise security system including retractable alarming power cord
A merchandise security system for an electronic item of merchandise is provided. In one example, the merchandise security system includes a continuous alarming power cord comprising at least one electrical conductor. The alarming power cord has a first end adapted to be electrically connected to the electronic item of merchandise and a second end. The merchandise security system also includes a reel for receiving the second end of the alarming power cord and adapted for storing at least a portion of the alarming power cord thereon. In addition, the merchandise security system includes monitoring circuitry in electrical communication with the alarming power cord and configured to detect an interruption in an electrical signal provided to the alarming power cord.
