A control system includes: an input receiver that receives an input from a user; and a controller that, if a security system is set in a notification mode, brings the input receiver into a cancellation preparation state in response to a sensor being changed to a predetermined state. The notification mode is a mode in which a notification is provided after a predetermined time period has elapsed since the sensor has changed to the predetermined state. The cancellation preparation state is a state in which a cancellation input for cancelling a setting of the notification mode is receivable. The controller cancels the setting of the notification mode when the cancellation input is received by the input receiver in the cancellation preparation state.

Processing alarm signals

Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for processing alarm signals are presented. In some embodiments, a mobile device may be registered with a security system that is installed at a premises. Subsequently, an alarm trigger associated with the security system may be received. Based on receiving the alarm trigger, the location of the mobile device may be determined. A response to the alarm trigger then may be determined based on the location of the mobile device.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MULTI-CRITERIA ALARMING

Systems and methods for using multi-criteria state machines to manage alarming states and pre-alarming states of a hazard detection system are described herein. The multi-criteria state machines can include one or more sensor state machines that can control the alarming states and one or more system state machines that can control the pre-alarming states. Each state machine can transition among any one of its states based on sensor data values, hush events, and transition conditions. The transition conditions can define how a state machine transitions from one state to another. The hazard detection system can use a dual processor arrangement to execute the multi-criteria state machines according to various embodiments. The dual processor arrangement can enable the hazard detection system to manage the alarming and pre-alarming states in a manner that promotes minimal power usage while simultaneously promoting reliability in hazard detection and alarming functionality.

The processing device sends an emergency alert instruction to provide emergency assistance to the subscriber location to an emergency assistance service provider, via a second network, based, at least in part, on the message. A request to provide medical assistance to the subscriber location may be sent to a medical assistance service provider, who may be a third party. Emergency alert requests for the police or fire department may be sent to a 9-1-1 service.
