METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROCESSING SECURITY EVENT DATA

Methods and systems for processing data associated with a premises management system are disclosed. The data may comprise alarm event data and non-alarm event data. The alarm event data and non-alarm event data may be processed to determine whether to send a notification.

Emergency Communication System
20230025247 · 2023-01-26 ·

An emergency communication system, while accurately and reliably detecting a location of an object person, receives contact from the object person and grasps a state of the object person when a matter of emergency has occurred. An object person terminal transmits identification information via short-range wireless communication, acquires location information by a GPS function, and transmits the identification information and the location information to a server. A detection terminal transmits the identification information transmitted from the object person terminal. The server specifies the location of the object person terminal on the basis of the information transmitted from the detection terminal or the identification information and the location information transmitted from the object person terminal. The object person terminal, when the occurrence of a matter of emergency is sensed, records ambient sounds as object person sound information, and transmits the recorded object person sound information to the server.

Thermal management in smart doorbells

Various smart doorbell arrangements are presented. Based on a measured temperature of the smart doorbell, operation of the smart doorbell device may be altered such that more heat or less heat is generated without affecting user-facing features. Based on another measured temperature, operation of the smart doorbell may be altered such that a chime that is electrically coupled to the smart doorbell device is not sounded in response to a doorbell actuation, but that a notification of the doorbell actuation is wirelessly transmitted by the smart doorbell device.

SYSTEM, SERVER AND METHOD FOR MONITORING UTILITY SYSTEMS
20220406158 · 2022-12-22 ·

The disclosure describes a system for monitoring and mitigating damage to electrical utility structures and the surrounding environment. In some embodiments, the system includes fire boxes, arc sensors, angle switches, and disconnect switches configured to generate alert signals when a hazard is detected. In some embodiments, the system includes cameras configured to detect a hazard such as a fire or moving object. In some embodiments, the system includes light transmitters and light receivers positioned at a predetermined location away from power lines to detect objects that interrupt a line of site. In some embodiments, the system can electrically isolate a power line before a detected hazard impacts a power line.

Electronic Monitoring System with Secondary Communication Path for Evaluating Device Locations
20220394439 · 2022-12-08 ·

An electronic monitoring system is provided that implements multiple wireless communication paths for facilitating connectivity evaluations of potential mounting locations of wirelessly networked devices, such as monitoring devices. The system can provide real-time feedback of when the monitoring device moves from within communication range of a hub to outside of its communication range. The feedback may be sent using a secondary communication path of the system, allowing the system to communicate information about the state of its primary communication path connectivity.

Safety Button with Dual Communication
20220392331 · 2022-12-08 ·

A safety button includes an activation element, a first communication device, a second communication device, and a controller. The first communication device is configured to connect the safety button to a WLAN, while the second communication device is configured to connect the safety button to a user device such as a smart phone. The controller is in communication with the first and second communication devices. The controller is configured to cause the safety button to communicate with the WLAN via the first communication device if the safety button is connected to the WLAN, and to cause the safety button to communicate with the user device via the second communication device if the safety button is not connected to the WLAN. Upon actuation of the activation element, an alert signal is communicated to a remote server by way of either the WLAN or the user device.

Electronic Monitoring System with Secondary Communication Path for Diagnostics
20220386152 · 2022-12-01 ·

An electronic monitoring system is provided that implements primary and secondary communication paths for enabling monitoring activities and troubleshooting activities upon disruption or failure of communications through the primary communication path. When operational/monitoring communications through a primary communication path are compromised, the system communicates through a secondary communication path to facilitate diagnostics of the issues in the primary communication path. The primary and secondary communication paths may transmit data at different frequencies. The frequency of the secondary communication path may be lower than that of the primary communication path with a longer range and may be in a sub-GHz (gigahertz) frequency band.

ALERT SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE TO OUTPUT ALERT ABOUT OCCUPANT BEING LEFT IN VEHICLE
20220383725 · 2022-12-01 ·

An alert system includes an in-vehicle object detector and an alert controller. The in-vehicle object detector detects objects in a vehicle compartment, including an occupant. The alert controller is configured to control execution of alert output operations if the occupant is left in the compartment after the vehicle's driver has left the vehicle. The alert output operations include at least an output operation of an alert to a mobile terminal of the driver. The alert controller is configured to cause the in-vehicle object detector to begin a detection processing for detecting the occupant being left in the compartment if the driver has left the vehicle, determine whether the mobile terminal of the driver is left in the compartment, and switch between the alert output operations in accordance with whether the mobile terminal of the driver is left in the compartment.

CONTROL SYSTEM USER INTERFACE
20220376990 · 2022-11-24 ·

Embodiments include systems and methods comprising a gateway located at a premise forming at least one network on the premise that includes a plurality of premise devices. A sensor user interface (SUI) is coupled to the gateway and presented to a user via a remote device. The SUI includes at least one display element. The at least one display element includes a floor plan display that represents at least one floor of the premise. The floor plan display visually and separately indicates a location and a current state of each premise device of the plurality of premise devices.
