Method and system for situational awareness for emergency response
Disclosed are systems and methods for sending emergency alerts. In some embodiments, sensors and wearable devices may trigger and send the emergency alerts and/or warning signals via available communication devices. Multi-media emergency alerts are also disclosed that include situational awareness information for effective and efficient emergency response.
Network distribution using common communication and power
There is described a network distribution system using common communication and power comprising a power line, multiple fire alarm units, and a power line control device. The power line provides alternating current, and the fire alarm units are coupled to the power line. The power line control device is coupled to the power line and a particular fire alarm unit of the plurality of fire alarm units. The power line control device comprises a communication translator to convert between power line and non-power line protocols and a power line core to modulate signals to, and demodulate signals from, the power line.
System for communicating event and location information
The present invention provides a system, method and apparatus for initiating and handling an emergency IP request using an IP enabled device having GPS capability. The IP enabled device is monitored for one or more emergency criteria. If the emergency criteria are satisfied, global positioning data is obtained using the GPS capability and the emergency IP request is sent to an address server. The address server receives the emergency IP request, obtains local emergency services data based on the global positioning data, dials a call center station based on the local emergency services data and passes an emergency call from the IP enabled device to the call center station. This invention can be implemented as a computer program embedded in a computer readable medium wherein the steps are performed by one or more code segments.
MECHANISM TO CREATE PATTERN GESTURE TRANSMISSIONS TO CREATE DEVICE-SOURCING EMERGENCY INFORMATION
A system may comprise a registration device configured to register patterns for users; a recording device configured to record a received pattern, as an electronic pattern, wherein the recording device recognizes the received pattern as one of the registered patterns; a receiving device configured to observe human movement patterns with a camera, transform the observed human movement patterns to an electronic signal, and receive the recognized registered pattern from the recording device by a first wireless transmission; a forwarding device configured to transmit the electronic signal, and the received recognized registered pattern to an alert service by a second wireless transmission; and an alert service, configured to receive the electronic signal and the received recognized registered pattern from the forwarding device and configured to transmit the electronic signal and the received recognized registered pattern to a second electronic device by a third wireless transmission.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR A HUB DEVICE
A hub device including a housing defining an interior, a plurality of sensors, and a controller module. The plurality of sensors being provided within the interior or along a portion of the housing. The controller module having access to a memory comprising a set of preloaded software and a set of additional software. At least one of least one of the set of preloaded software or the set of additional software is configured to allow the hub device to be communicatively couplable to at least one additional hardware.
METHODS FOR EMBEDDING PROTECTED VEHICLE IDENTIFIER INFORMATION IN CELLULAR VEHICLE-TO-EVERYTHING (C-V2X) MESSAGES
Various embodiments include methods that may be performed in a computing device of a vehicle for communicating permanent vehicle identification information in vehicle communications in response to detecting that there is a need to send the vehicle permanent identification information to a concerned party. The computing device may generate a message including the vehicle permanent identification information, and transmit the generated message to a roadside unit for routing to the concerned party. In some embodiments, the permanent vehicle identification information may be included in cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) protocol messages.
REQUESTING EMERGENCY SERVICES USING A SET-TOP BOX
Methods, systems, and a remote control for sending emergency alert requests are disclosed. The methods and systems comprise receiving an emergency alert request from a user via a set-top box at a subscriber location. The emergency alert request is received from a remote control. A medical alert message is sent by the set-top box to a processing device, based on the received medical alert request, via a first network. The processing device sends an emergency alert instruction to provide emergency assistance to the subscriber location to an emergency assistance service provider, via a second network, based, at least in part, on the message. A request to provide medical assistance to the subscriber location may be sent to a medical assistance service provider, who may be a third party. Emergency alert requests for the police or fire department may be sent to a 9-1-1 service.
DANGEROUS SITUATION MONITORING DEVICE IN SPACE BASED ON FREQUENCY RESPONSE PATTERN AND METHOD FOR MONITORING DANGEROUS SITUATION IN SPACE USING THE SAME
A method for monitoring a dangerous situation in a space based on a frequency response pattern according to an embodiment includes loading, by a processing unit of a mobile terminal located in the arbitrary space, a setting value corresponding to an operational mode selected through control software installed on the mobile terminal, controlling, by the processing unit, a speaker of the mobile terminal to generate a frequency corresponding to the loaded setting value, receiving the frequency which was generated in the controlling and reflected in the space through a microphone of the mobile terminal, determining, by the processing unit, whether the dangerous situation occurred in the space by comparing the frequency response pattern with a preset reference value, and taking, by the processing unit, a follow-up action when it is determined that the dangerous situation occurred in the space by the determining.
Fugitive gas detection system
A fugitive gas detection system is provided. The system includes a cloud service, a plurality of reach-based components, a plurality of wireless gas sensors. The reach-based components comprise backhauls and gateways. The wireless gas sensors are acted as nodes to acquire sensor data in a local mesh network and the nodes are connected to the cloud service through the reach-based components, one node can transmit the sensor data to other sensor nodes of the local mesh network. The system measures flammable gas levels with speed, economy and accuracy.
POWER OUTLET CAMERAS
A security system can be configured to mount to a power outlet. The security system can include an outwardly facing portion configured to face away from the power outlet and an inwardly facing portion having a first electrical prong and a second electrical prong that protrude into the power outlet to mount the security system to the power outlet. The security system can also include a detection system comprising a camera and a motion detector.
