Methods using activity manager for monitoring user activity
A method uses telemetry data based on user habit information or user monitoring. User information is acquired from one or more sensors of a monitoring device. The user information is selected from of at least one of, a user's activities, behaviors and habit information. Signals are routed through ID circuitry at the user monitoring device. User information is communicated between the monitoring device and a telemetry system. A database of user ID's is accessed at the telemetry system. The telemetry system analyzes telemetry data based on at least one of, user's activities, behaviors and habit information, user condition, and user parameter, to create personalized information about the user. One or more contexts of a user activity are associated with an activity manager. The activity manager is a standalone device, included with the telemetry system or included with the monitoring device.

Personal area network pairing
A method for automatically adding a first sensor device to a first personal area network in a healthcare application includes receiving a signal with out-of-band pairing data at the first sensor device. The first sensor device is disposed on a patient's body. The out-of-band pairing data is injected into the patient's body by a second sensor device disposed on the patient's body. Pairing data is extracted from the received signal at the first sensor device. Using the pairing data, the first sensor device is added to the first personal area.
Wireless data and power transfer over an inductive telemetry link
A telemetry device includes a resonant inductive link with a primary LC tank and secondary LC tank configured to resonate at a carrier frequency. A modulator assembly in communication with the secondary LC tank implements data-synchronized cyclic on-off keying modulation (COOK) to periodically create a short across the secondary LC tank in response to a pulse from a phase selector and phase-locked loop. During the full cycle-length of the short, data can be transmitted across the inductive link while the charge across the secondary LC tank is preserved. Power may be transferred across the link during non-shorted cycles.
SENSOR DEVICE, HOLSTER SENSING SYSTEM, AND VIDEO-RECORDING SYSTEM
A sensor device, a holster sensing system, and a video-recording system are provided. The sensor device includes a control unit and a sensing module. The sensing module includes a reference coil set and an induction coil set that are arranged in a stacked structure. The sensing device is fixed on a holster. The induction coil set is configured to be adjacent to the holster. The control unit determines whether a gun is in the holster according to an inductance change between a sensing value generated by the induction coil set and a reference level provided by the reference coil set. In an application of the video-recording system, the control unit transmits a trigger signal to a recording device if the gun is determined to be pulled out of the holster according to the inductance change, so that the recording device is activated to start recording.
