The system is characterized in that the terminal (20) is designed to receive operating commands of a user and to forward said operating commands to the machining device (10) via the remote data transfer interface (22).
Thermostat and system and method for use of same
A thermostat and system and method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment, multiple wireless transceivers are located within a housing, which also interconnectively includes a processor, memory, and a camera. To improve convenience, the thermostat may establish a pairing with a proximate wireless-enabled interactive programmable device having a display. Virtual remote control functionality for various amenities may then be provided. To improve safety, the thermostat may be incorporated into a geolocation and safety network and, under certain conditions, the thermostat may provide a video feed.
Television and system and method for providing a remote control device
A television and system and method for providing a remote control device are disclosed. In one embodiment of the television, the television includes a processor, a memory, a tuner, a panel, and an audio driver therein in an interconnected architecture. The television may establish a pairing with a proximate wireless-enabled interactive programmable device, such as a proximate wireless-enabled interactive handheld device having a touch screen display, whereby formatted parallel audiovisual experience instructions, including virtual buttons, may be transmitted to the proximate wireless-enabled interactive programmable device for display on the touch screen display to create an experience parallel to the experience on the television. The television receives and processes virtual remote control functionality input instructions from the proximate wireless-enabled interactive programmable device to control amenities associated with the television.
DEVICE FOR READING, PROCESSING AND TRANSMITTING TEST RESULT DATA FOR PATHOGENS OR VIRUSES IN FLUID TEST SAMPLES

DEVICE FOR READING, PROCESSING AND TRANSMITTING TEST RESULT DATA FOR PATHOGENS OR VIRUSES IN FLUID TEST SAMPLES
The embodiments disclose a test cartridge assembly system including a test cartridge assembly for loading of a test sample moving the fluid through the internal fluidic channels processing and presenting the sample to one or more electrochemical sensors for measuring analytes in the test sample, at least one fluidic channel formed directly in a rigid portion of an upper test cartridge assembly housing to form a fluidic path, a port coupled to the at least one fluidic channel for receiving a spring loaded vacuum source, a port coupled to the upper test cartridge assembly housing to communicate the vacuum through the upper cartridge housing into the fluidic path, and a functional layer coupled to the test cartridge assembly configured to provide electrical functionalities and interconnections to various fluidic components.
Fine-motion virtual-reality or augmented-reality control using radar
This document describes techniques for fine-motion virtual-reality or augmented-reality control using radar. These techniques enable small motions and displacements to be tracked, even in the millimeter or sub-millimeter scale, for user control actions even when those actions are small, fast, or obscured due to darkness or varying light. Further, these techniques enable fine resolution and real-time control, unlike conventional RF-tracking or optical-tracking techniques.
Activity monitoring
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide measures, including apparatuses, circuitry, methods and computer programs, for use in monitoring user activity. Orientation data for a user is generated. The generated orientation data is inserted into advertising packets of a wireless communication protocol. The advertising packets comprising the generated orientation data are broadcast according to the wireless communication protocol.
Device controller, communication terminal, device control method, compensation calculation method, and device control system
A device controller connected to a communication terminal and a plurality of devices via a network includes an acquisition unit configured to receive first control information for controlling a plurality of devices of predetermined type from the communication terminal, the first control information including specific information for identifying a control target device selected from the plurality of devices, a device identification unit configured to identify the control target device on the basis of the specific information included in the first control information, a generation unit configured to generate second control information for causing the control target device to execute control details indicated by the first control information, the second control information being different from the first control information, and a transmission unit configured to transmit the second control information.
Systems and methods for contextual intelligence using networked devices
Multipurpose systems can include networked devices configured to include microphones, motion sensors, video cameras, touchscreens, optical sensors, speakers, or other suitable devices. The networked devices can include networking capabilities that enable the networked device to communicate with target devices and other networked devices. A system of networked devices can identify a target location or a target device by analyzing audio signals received at microphones of the networked devices. For example, a plurality of networked devices can identify a particular networked device that is in closest proximity to a user by analyzing an audio intensity of an audio signal received at the plurality of networked devices. The identified networked device can serve as a master device that can control a state of target devices.
Methods and systems for content processing
Mobile phones and other portable devices are equipped with a variety of technologies by which existing functionality can be improved, and new functionality can be provided. Some aspects relate to visual search capabilities, and determining appropriate actions responsive to different image inputs. Others relate to processing of image data. Still others concern metadata generation, processing, and representation. Yet others concern user interface improvements. Other aspects relate to imaging architectures, in which a mobile phone's image sensor is one in a chain of stages that successively act on packetized instructions/data, to capture and later process imagery. Still other aspects relate to distribution of processing tasks between the mobile device and remote resources (“the cloud”). Elemental image processing (e.g., simple filtering and edge detection) can be performed on the mobile phone, while other operations can be referred out to remote service providers. The remote service providers can be selected using techniques such as reverse auctions, through which they compete for processing tasks. A great number of other features and arrangements are also detailed.
