Navigation device, navigation system, and method of operating the same
Navigation devices and methods of operation are provided. The navigation device includes a communication unit; a display; an input unit for receiving an input of data; a communication unit; and a controller for controlling operation of the display and the input unit. The controller connects to a data server through the communication unit, requests path setting information to the data server, receives the path setting information from the data server, acquires present position information of the navigation device, acquires a user moving path by reflecting the acquired position information and the received path setting information, and sets the user moving path as a guidance path. In this case, the path setting information is generated in another electronic device or the data server based on user input information input from the another electronic device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DYNAMIC ROUTING OF USERS
Methods and systems for dynamically providing routes to users of vehicles. In some examples, a method includes determining a first traffic flow model for uninformed drivers of vehicles and determining a second traffic flow model for informed drivers of vehicles. Each of the informed drivers makes driving decisions based on receiving dynamic routes from a traffic routing system. The method includes iteratively updating the second traffic flow model using the first traffic flow model until a convergence criterion is met. The method includes sending, to at least one informed driver, a first dynamic route from a first origin to a first destination using the second traffic flow model.
MOBILE APPARATUS AND VEHICLE
A mobile apparatus performing an augmented reality function and a navigation function includes an input device, a location receiver for obtaining a current location, an image obtaining device, a display device provided to display surrounding image obtained from the image obtaining device in response to execution of an augmented reality mode, and a controller provided to search for a route from the current location to a destination, destination information and map information obtained by the location receiver, identify a moving situation according to route information corresponding to the searched route, obtain location information of an inflection point at which the moving situation is changed according to information on the identified moving situation, and control the display device to display an object image of the inflection point on the surrounding image displayed on the display device based on the location information of the inflection point and the current location information.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ESTIMATING LANE PAVEMENT CONDITIONS BASED ON STREET PARKING INFORMATION
An approach is provided for estimating lane pavement conditions based on street parking events. For example, the approach involves map-matching a vehicle park-in event, a vehicle park-out event, or a combination thereof to a lane of a road segment. The approach also involves calculating an adjusted pavement condition of the lane based on the map matched park-in event, the map-matched park-out event, or a combination thereof, wherein the adjusted pavement condition accounts for a reduction of a weather effect on a pavement condition of the lane caused by one or more vehicles parking in the lane. The approach further involves providing the adjusted pavement condition of the lane as an output.
Traffic disruption detection using passive monitoring of vehicle occupant frustration level
Aspects of the present disclosure include a navigation system and computer-implemented methods for detecting traffic disruption events based on an analysis of input component data obtained from navigation-enabled devices of vehicles near a particular location. Traffic disruption events are events such as accidents, construction road closures, police and speed traps, or road hazards that cause a decrease in the flow of traffic along a particular route and thus, added time delays for occupants of vehicles traveling along those routes. The navigation system scores the input component data associated with each vehicle and aggregates the scored input component data to obtain a frustration score associated with the vehicle. The navigation system may detect traffic disruption events based on a number of vehicles near a particular area having associated frustration scores above a certain threshold.
Method, server, and program for reporting electric car charging space in parking lot
The present invention relates to a method for reporting an electric car charging space in a parking lot, the method comprising: identifying whether a charger of each of charging spaces in a parking lot is being used; identifying whether a car exists in each of the charging spaces; and selecting a chargeable space and reporting the selected chargeable space.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MULTI-MODALITY AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE TRANSPORT
Technologies disclosed herein facilitate identification of a trip route from an origin of a user to a desired destination of the user, wherein the trip route includes multiple transportation modalities, at least one of which is an autonomous vehicle (AV), and dispatching of the AV to a pickup location for the user in connection with providing transportation to the user along a portion of the identified trip route.
INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, AND INFORMATION TERMINAL
An information processing method, an information processing system, an information processing device, and an information terminal are configured to set a first time at which a vehicle will start traveling on a travel route based on an operation accepted from a user via a terminal, and set a second time at which a notification to the user will be issued based on a position of the terminal, a position of the vehicle, and the first time.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ROUTE RECONSTRUCTION
A systems and methods for ridesharing are provided. The systems and method can include splitting a plurality of GPS locations for a given vehicle into segments, determining a most probable location for each GPS location, and reconstructing the route, for a fleet of ridesharing vehicles.
CLICKABLE ACCESS POINT
Systems and methods herein describe receiving a target location from a computing device, using a machine learning model: determining a first access point and a second access point associated with the target location, causing presentation of the first access point as a first selectable user interface element and the second access point as a second selectable user interface within a graphical user interface on the computing device, receiving a first selection of the first selectable user interface element from the computing device; and in response to receiving the first selection, and initiating a trip request based on the refined map coordinates of the first access point.
