SPEED READING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method for handling texts when reproduced on a display is provided. In a first step, a digitized text that is to be reproduced is selected. In a second step, a software program is executed, which includes at least one rule for the setting of at least one distinction that is perceptible when reproduced on the display and is incorporated into the digitized text. The software program is used on the digitized text in order, in accordance with the rule, to make the at least one distinction in the text.

A COMPUTER IMPLEMENTED METHOD FOR ESTIMATING A READING SPEED OF AN INDIVIDUAL
A computer-implemented method for estimating a reading speed of an individual. The method comprises the steps of: providing a reading speed model, based on a reading speed function comprising a set of parameters and a set of metrics; determining a printed stimulus to be presented to the individual by way of a reading run of a reading test and determining one or more stimulus features associated therewith; controlling an administration of the reading test to the individual based on the one or more determined stimulus features; receiving reading speed observation data based on the presented printed stimulus and corresponding to one or more responses made by the individual in the reading test.

Pointer Reading Tool
Pointer reading tool (20) to read a plurality of words by saccading between a plurality of individual pointers enabling any person to learn and train to read using person eye peripheral vision when reading. Having vertical rigid member (5) with horizontal rigid member (22, 23) extended to the width of a line of text on a page or screen (FIGS. 1H and 1I). Plurality pointer member (11, 7, 6, 9, 13) are vertical from horizontal rigid member (22, 23) in reading mode (FIG. 1A). By reducing saccades, improving person eye peripheral vision to read in groups of words, a reader can read at a better pace with improved focus and better concentration whilst reducing stress, strain and fatigue of the eye when reading.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DISPLAYING RECOGNIZED TEXT ACCORDING TO A SPEED READING PATTERN
Examples disclosed herein relate to a display of speed reading pattern. Examples include to perform text recognition to recognize text in captured image data, and display the recognized text on a display according to a speed reading pattern. Examples include to determine when the recognized text in the captured image has been displayed via the speed reading pattern, and to provide an indicator to capture additional image data in response to determining the recognized text has been displayed.
FILTERS AND RELATED METHODS OF USE IN MEASURING REACTION TIMES
A system for filtering results from tests that include reaction time as part of the test results includes an input device that receives respondent input in response to queries. A task engine is associated with the input device and the task engine presents the queries and receives the respondent's input to the queries, and associates a reaction input time for each of the respondent's inputs. A results database receives the respondent's input and the associated reaction input time. At least one filter is associated with the task engine which compensates for artifacts that adversely affect the associated reaction input time.
