SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ASSESSING OPERATOR SITUATIONAL AWARENESS VIA CONTEXT-AWARE GAZE DETECTION
20230043771 · 2023-02-09 ·

A system and method for continuous real-time assessment of the situational awareness of an aircraft operator incorporates gaze sensors to determine the current gaze target (or sequence of gaze targets) of the operator, e.g., which interfaces the operator is looking at. The system receives operational context from aircraft systems indicative of current events and conditions both internal and external to the aircraft (e.g., operational status, mission or flight plan objectives, weather conditions). Based on the determined gaze targets and coterminous operational context, the system evaluates the situational awareness of the operator relative to the operational context, e.g., perceptive of the operational context; comprehending the operational context and its implications, and projecting the operator's perception and comprehension into responsive action and second-order ramifications according to task models indicative of expected behavior.

Standard operating procedures feedback during an interactive computer simulation

An interactive computer simulation system, station and method for training a user in the performance of a task through a training activity. A tangible instrument module allows a user to interact with the tangible instrument module for controlling a virtual element. A plurality of performance metric datasets representing results of the interactions between the user and the tangible instrument module is obtained. During execution of the interactive computer simulation, in the plurality of performance metric datasets, a plurality of actual maneuvers of the virtual element are detected during the training activity, one or more standard operating procedures (SOPs) are identified for the training activity from a plurality of the individually detected actual maneuvers. In real-time upon detection of the SOPs, information for display in the interactive computer simulation related the SOPs.

Provision of instructions for driver training

Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media may be configured to provide instructions for driver training. Environmental information and driving information for a vehicle may be obtained. The environmental information may characterize positions of objects in an environment of the vehicle. The driving information may characterize operations of the vehicle in the environment. A desired vehicle operation may be determined based on the environmental information and the driving information. An instruction may be provided to a driver of the vehicle based on the desired vehicle operation. The instruction may describe one or more operations to be taken by the driver to execute the desired vehicle operation.

System, Method, and Apparatus for Maneuver Training
20220383773 · 2022-12-01 · ·

A method and apparatus for maneuver training for an aircraft includes selecting a maneuver from a smartphone then determining a current location, a current velocity and a current direction of the aircraft by periodically reading a global positioning subsystem of the smartphone. Next, a tunnel for the maneuver is calculated from the current location, the current velocity, and the current direction and a first segment of the tunnel is displayed on a display of the smartphone; the tunnel represents boundaries of the maneuver. Thereafter, until the maneuver is completed, the current location of the aircraft is periodically read from the global positioning subsystem of the smartphone and subsequent segments of the tunnel are displayed on the display; the subsequent segments correspond to the current location of the aircraft.

System, method, and device for generating flight training scheme oriented to individual difference

A system, method, and device for generating a flight training scheme oriented to an individual difference are provided to resolve a problem that a differentiated training scheme applicable to a training state of a trainee cannot be generated quickly. The system includes a first apparatus configured to obtain identity information of a user; a second apparatus configured to store training data of the user; a third apparatus configured to read the corresponding training data of the user based on the identity information of the user, obtain a mastery degree of a training item of the user as well as an emotion class and rating of the user corresponding to the training item, configure the training item based on a training scenario, and generate an initial training scheme; and a fourth apparatus configured to configure a flight training simulation environment based on the initial training scheme.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FLIGHT DECK CUSTOMIZATION AND PILOT PERFORMANCE ANALYTICS

Systems and methods for displaying a scorecard for rating pilot performance by registering a wearable device based on the identification of the wearable device through pilot profile data, location data, and an identification key data received from the wearable device; linking, the wearable device to the avionic system to receive flight data, and to a cloud server to receive computed performance scores for in-flight display by the wearable device; alternately, in response to a manual input action, authenticating pilot identity to enable pilot access and linking of the flight data to the cloud server for display; generating a set of flight components via a model specified for a flight phase based on data from the wearable device if available, and the flight data, the model includes flight performance score values; displaying a flight phase performance score; and displaying on the graphical user interface in a cockpit display the performance scorecard.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT
20170312517 · 2017-11-02 ·

Described is a system for training and assessment. In operation, the system classifies a subject's baseline brain state and behavioral performance. Training goals are assessed to specify tasks the subject is to perform and a desired level of performance. The subject is subjected to neurological stimulation while the subject performs specified tasks. Behavioral data is assessed to determine if the subject has achieved the training goals. If the subject has achieved the training goals, the system stops. Alternatively, if the individual has not achieved the training goals, then neurological data is reviewed to identify activation states and values of the neurological stimulation that resulted in increased performance values from the baseline behavioral performance. The activation states and values of the neurological stimulation are adjusted to match those that resulted in increased performance values. The process is repeated until the subject has achieved the training goals.
