METHODS, SYSTEMS, APPARATUSES, AND DEVICES FOR FACILITATING PROVIDING EDUCATION TO A USER
A digicational smart book for facilitating providing education to a user includes a front cover comprising a first receptacle for receiving a front screen. Further, the digicational smart book may include a rear cover comprising a second receptacle for receiving a rear screen. Further, the digicational smart book may include an input device configured to receive a request from a user. Further, the digicational smart book may include a spine comprising a processing device configured for processing the request. Further, the spine may include a storage device configured for retrieving an educational module and a communication device configured for transmitting the educational module to the front screen and the rear screen. Further, the digicational smart book may include a power source configured to provide electrical energy to the front screen, the rear screen, the communication device, the processing device, and the storage device.
GENERATING A VIRTUAL REALITY LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
A method executed by a computing device includes generating a virtual reality environment by detecting an illustrative asset common to first and second sets of assets. The method further includes rendering a three-dimensional (3-D) model of the illustrative asset and the first set of assets to produce 3-D frames of a first descriptive asset for issuance to a another computing device using an illustration approach. The method further includes rendering the three-dimensional (3-D) model of the illustrative asset and the second set of assets to produce 3-D frames of a second descriptive asset for issuance to the other computing device using an updated illustration approach.
Communications training system
A communications training system is provided having a user interface, a computer-based simulator and a performance measurement database. The user interface is configured to receive a speech communication input from the user based on a training content and the computer-based simulator is configured to transform the speech communication to a text data whereby the text data can be aligned to performance measurement database values to determine a performance measure of the speech communication. The format of the text data and the performance measurement database values enable the speech communication to be aligned with predefined performance measurement database values representing expected speech communications for that training content.
Smart booklet with integrated behavior incentivization and tracking features
A method of configuring a smart booklet to encourage adherence to a treatment and/or educational program is disclosed, wherein the smart booklet is “off the grid” (e.g., not connected to an electrical or networking grid) and includes an integrated behavior incentivization feature. Based on an activation of a detection feature of the smart booklet, it is detected whether a state of one or more pages of the smart booklet has changed. Based on the determination that the state of the one or more pages has changed, a set of data items pertaining to the adherence to the treatment and/or educational program is created or updated. Based on an identification that the set of data items is indicative of a failure or a success with respect to the adherence to the treatment program, a message pertaining to the failure or the success is communicated via an output component of the smart booklet (e.g., to encourage the adherence to the treatment and/or educational program).
Mat controllable by remote computing device
A smart block can include a plurality of displays and configurable magnet components to selectively attract or repel other smart blocks. The smart block can include proximity sensors to identify a surface of another smart block close to the smart block to determine if the smart blocks are correctly oriented based on an application or game associated with the operation of the smart blocks. A plurality of smart blocks can be configured to display a portion of a picture (as a puzzle), such that when the smart blocks are oriented correctly they collectively display the complete picture. The smart blocks can be used in conjunction with a smart mat that is configured to move the smart blocks in response to commands received from a remote computing device. The smart blocks and the smart mat can facilitate interactivity with other, remote users, such as between a caregiver and a child.
Interface for Educational Tool
An interface for an educational tool on an electronic device is described. The interface comprises a main menu to display at least an icon for the educational tool. The main menu appears on a display screen of the electronic device. The interface also comprises a summary menu to list a subset of at least one function of the educational tool. The summary menu is accessed directly from the main menu when a user selects the icon for the educational tool. The interface further comprises an exhibitory window to display a rhyming riddle function of the educational tool selected by the user from the subset listed on the summary menu. The rhyming riddle function presents the user with a rhyming riddle to be solved.
System, apparatus and method for interactive reading
System, apparatus and method for facilitating interactive reading can include an electronic device having a program or application thereon. In one embodiment, the application can recognize one or more cues, combined with an external data source, that result from reading a story aloud and/or performing one or more acts.
Assessing learning session retention utilizing a multi-disciplined learning tool
A method for assessing learning comprehension regarding a topic includes modifying a fundamental illustrative model to illustrate a first set of assessment assets of a first learning object of learning objects to produce a first assessment illustrative model. The fundamental illustrative model is based on illustrative assets of a lesson that includes the learning objects. The method further includes obtaining a first assessment response for the first assessment illustrative model. When the first assessment response is favorable, the method further includes modifying the fundamental illustrative model to illustrate a second set of assessment assets of a second learning object of the learning objects to produce a second assessment illustrative model and obtaining a second assessment response for the second assessment illustrative model.
INTERACTIVE MEDIA
Disclosed herein are devices and methods for an interactive book configured to enhance a user's vocabulary. In some embodiments, an interactive paper-based book comprises a back cover comprising a plurality of touch sensors and an audio module and a plurality of paper pages that are stacked together on top of each other. In some embodiments, each of the pages comprises a grid array of images associated with a plurality of words. In some embodiments, the grid array of images on the plurality of pages are aligned with the plurality of touch sensors on the back cover. In some embodiments, each of the pages and a set of audio files for each page are configured to be activated using a page button corresponding to the respective page. In some embodiments, the page buttons are located on one or more portions of the book. In some embodiments, the audio module is configured to play one or more sounds associated with an image on an activated page when the user touches the image on the activated page.
USER INTERFACES AND TOOLS FOR FACILITATING INTERACTIONS WITH VIDEO CONTENT
Systems and methods are described that include causing a recording to begin capturing video content. The video content may include a presenter video stream, a screencast video stream, and an annotation video stream. The systems and methods may include generating, based on the video content and during capture of the video content, a metadata record representing timing information used to synchronize at least one portion of the video content to input received in at least one of the presenter video stream, the screencast video stream, or the annotation video stream.
