The present invention relates generally to an LED sign system use on roadways, and more particularly to a LED sign system for use on roadways with a redundant controller.
MULTIPLE SIGN CONTROLLER
Embodiments of a multiple sign controller are generally described herein. Many embodiments include a multiple sign controller system. In some embodiments, the multiple sign controller can comprise a computer, a single instance of an operating system configured to run on the computer, two or more virtual sign controller instances, one or more physical communication ports coupled to the computer, and two or more virtual ports configured to run on the single instance of the operating system. In many embodiments, a first virtual port of the two or more virtual ports can be associated with a first virtual sign controller instance of the two or more virtual sign controller instances. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
Decorative item with a light effect
A decorative item including an element made at least partly of a metallic, polymeric or ceramic based material and including a face visible to an observer, at least one light source external or internal to the element, the decorative item further includes at least one optical fibre embedded in the material of the element, the optical fibre serving as a guide for the light from the light source in order to produce, during use, a light effect on the visible face of the element. A method for manufacturing the decorative item is also disclosed.
LED SIGN SYSTEM WITH REDUNDANT CONTROLLER
The present invention relates generally to an LED sign system use on roadways, and more particularly to a LED sign system for use on roadways with a redundant controller.
Apparatus and method for attaching signs to foundation members such as road barriers
A support system for a sign mountable on at least two spaced apart foundation members, the system comprising: i) a base, preferably a length adjustable base, having a first end and a second end; ii) a vertical sign support having a first end and a second end wherein the second end is connected to the base; iii) a first foundation member bracket for connection to a first foundation member, the first foundation member bracket proximate the first end of the base; and iv) a second foundation member bracket for connection to a second foundation member distant the first foundation member, the second foundation member bracket proximate the second end of the base.
Light emitting sign apparatus using optical fiber including solar-responsive light sensors
A light emitting sign apparatus including an optical fiber includes an outer frame. The outer frame includes an accommodation space having an opened front side. A front panel covers the front side of the outer frame, and includes a plurality of first front emission holes. A light source module is located in the accommodation space and includes at least one light source. A plurality of first front optical fibers have first ends connected to the plurality of first front emission holes and second ends optically coupled to the at least one light source. At least one outer illumination sensor is located in the accommodation space. A plurality of outer optical fibers have first ends connected to the outer emission holes provided in the outer frame and second ends optically coupled to the at least one outer illumination sensor.
Light emitting sign apparatus using optical fiber
A light emitting sign apparatus using an optical fiber includes: a front panel including a plurality of emission holes; a plurality of optical fibers having one ends respectively connected to the plurality of emission holes and the other ends constituting a concentrated bundle; and a light source assembly including a plurality of light emitting diodes optically coupled to the other ends of the plurality of optical fibers, wherein the plurality of light emitting diodes are located on a plane. Each of the plurality of light emitting diodes belongs to any one of a plurality of groups, one ends of the plurality of groups are connected to the same node, and different power voltages are applied to the other ends of the plurality of groups.
LUMINOUS LOGO AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFORE
The present invention relates to the technical field of automobile logos, and provides a luminous logo and a manufacturing method therefor. The luminous logo comprises: a logo body, which is provided with a plurality of protruding portions; a plurality of optical fibre bundles arranged to form an optical fibre structure matching the logo body in shape, the optical fibre structure being evenly overmoulded inside the logo body, and an end of each optical fibre bundle extending from one of the protruding portions; and a light-emitting light source detachable relative to the logo body, the extended ends of the plurality of optical fibre bundles being gathered and connected to the light-emitting light source. According to the present invention, optical fibres are embedded into a logo body, an end of each optical fibre extends from a respective protruding portion of the logo body and is connected to a detachable light source, thereby realizing luminescence of the logo and facilitating assembly of the logo.
