DATA PROCESSING ARRAY
A data processing array comprises a plurality of modules, each with a memory, positioned in an array of rows and columns interconnected by a pooling chain that carries data to and receives data from selected ones or groups of the modules. Each modules can also have light modulator elements for transmitting data as light signals and a light sensor for receiving data in the form of modulated light. Pooling switches in the pooling chain between modules open and close the pooling chain lines for selecting and grouping modules. Analog data lines separate from the pooling chain can also carry data to and from the modules. Pooling control lines connected to the switches turn the switches on and off for the selecting and grouping of modules. Module control lines, also separate from the pooling chain, connected to the modules enable various data input, output, and processing by the memory or other components in the module.

The liquid crystal display device includes a first electrode formed over an entire surface of one side of a substrate; a first insulating film formed over the first electrode; a thin film transistor formed over the first insulating film; a second insulating film formed over the thin film transistor; a second electrode formed over the second insulating film and having a plurality of openings; and a liquid crystal over the second electrode. The liquid crystal is controlled by an electric field between the first electrode and the second electrode.
VIRTUAL AND AUGMENTED REALITY SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A virtual or augmented reality display system can include a first sensor to provide measurements of a user's head pose over time and a processor to estimate the user's head pose based on at least one head pose measurement and based on at least one calculated predicted head pose. The processor can combine the head pose measurement and the predicted head pose using one or more gain factors. The one or more gain factors may vary based upon the user's head pose position within a physiological range of movement.
FIELD SEQUENTIAL DISPLAY
A field sequential display comprises: a multi-viewpoint 3D display screen, comprising a plurality of composite pixels, wherein each composite pixel in the plurality of composite pixels comprises a plurality of pixels corresponding to a plurality of viewpoints of the field sequential display; a light source device, comprising a plurality of monochromatic light sources; a light source time sequence controller, configured to control turn-on time and turn-off time of the plurality of monochromatic light sources; and a 3D processing device, which is in communication connection with the light source time sequence controller and the multi-viewpoint 3D display screen, and is configured to enable the light source time sequence controller to switch and turn on at least part of monochromatic light sources in the plurality of monochromatic light sources in a time sequence manner, so as to render corresponding pixels in each composite pixel in the multi-viewpoint 3D display screen.
Data processing systems
In a data processing system that includes a field sequential colour display, when displaying a frame that is to be transformed based on a predicted view orientation on the field sequential colour display, each colour field to be displayed on the display for the frame is transformed based on a predicted view orientation for that particular colour field, such that each colour field will be subjected to a different view orientation transformation to the other colour fields for the frame. The so-transformed colour fields are then displayed sequentially on the display to display the frame.
LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
To provide a semiconductor device, a liquid crystal display device, and an electronic device which have a wide viewing angle and in which the number of manufacturing steps, the number of masks, and manufacturing cost are reduced compared with a conventional one.

Systems and methods for mask-based temporal dithering
In one embodiment, a computing system may determine a target grayscale value associated with a target image to be represented by a plurality of subframes. The system may determine grayscale ranges based on the target grayscale value. Each grayscale range may correspond to a combination of zero or more subframes of the plurality of subframes. The system may select dot subsets from a dithering mask based on the grayscale ranges. Each of the dot subsets may correspond to a grayscale range. The system may generate the subframes based on (1) the selected dot subsets and (2) respective combinations of zero or more subframes. The subframes may have a smaller number of bits per color than the target frame. The system may display the subframes sequentially in time domain on a display to represent the target image.
