Generation system of synthesized sound in music instruments

A generation system (100) of synthesized sound comprises: a first stage (1), wherein features (F) are extracted from an input raw sound and parameters of said features are evaluated; a second stage (2) wherein the evaluated parameters are used to create a plurality of physical models that are metrically evaluated in order to find the parameters of the best physical model, and a third stage (3) wherein the parameters of the best physical model are perturbed in order to create perturbed physical models and a metric evaluated of the perturbed physical models is performed to find the parameters of the best physical model.

Method for tuning a pipe organ and a reed pipe tuning device

The invention provides a method, system and tuning devices for reed and flue pipes for automatically tuning or checking the tuning of a pipe organ. The invention enables the tuning of the reed pipes to the same pitch as flue pipes if the fluctuation of temperature and humidity has caused a change in the pitch of the flue pipes, and to restore the tuning of the reed pipes in case of random loss of tuning. The invention allows to reduce the tuning time and to tune the pipes that require more frequent tuning (i.e. the reed pipes) unobtrusively to the organist and listeners during the playing of the organ. It is possible to employ the method of the invention on all pipes of an organ or only on a selection of them.

Four-pedal bass keyboard
10573287 · 2020-02-25 ·

An electronic synthesizer instrument incorporating four bass pedals which can be played either with the heel or the toe of the foot, so as to allow the playing of all twelve notes in a chromatic octave with just the four pedals. The apparatus is an improvement upon existing bass pedal devices which enables easier playing of the bass parts for musicians simultaneously playing other instruments. The assignment of the pitch to the pedals is selectable, but two of the easiest-to-play embodiments are described in detail. The four pedals rock on a central pivot, each giving two distinct notes. Half pitches between notes addressed by adjacent pedals can be accessed by holding both adjacent pedals down.

Modal processor effects inspired by hammond tonewheel organs

Methods and apparatuses according the present embodiments derive the sound of a Hammond tonewheel organ from the equal-tempered tuning of its tonewheels and drawbar registration design, as well as its vibrato/chorus processing and pickup distortion. In embodiments, as a reverberation effect, the modal processor simulates a room response as the sum of resonant filter responses, providing precise, independent and interactive control over the frequency, damping, and complex amplitude of each mode. As an effects processor, the modal processor provides pitch shifting and distortion by simple manipulations of the mode output sinusoids.
