Pressure wave generator and method for operating a pressure wave generator
A method of operating a pressure wave generator (1) with a pressure chamber (2), wherein the pressure wave generator (1) comprises a closure element (9) which, in a closed position, closes the pressure chamber (2) with respect to an outlet (15) and, in an open position, —allows a working medium to flow out of the pressure chamber (2) into the outlet (15); an actuator by means of which the closure element (9) can be brought from the closed position into the open position and, in particular, can also be brought from the open position into the closed position;
wherein the method comprises repeatedly performing the following steps: filling the pressure chamber (2) with a gaseous working medium at a pressure of over one hundred bar; moving the actuator and thereby moving the closure element (9) in an opening direction to open the pressure chamber (2) with respect to the outlet (15), and discharging the pressurized working medium from the pressure chamber (2) through the outlet (15) within a discharge time period of less than fifteen milliseconds.
Method and device for reducing and homogenizing residual stress of a component
The present disclosure relates to a method for reducing and homogenizing residual stress of a component, which comprises: detecting stress value(s) of regulation portion(s) of the component; placing the component in a container containing a fluid medium so as to immerse the component in the fluid medium; emitting, by an acoustic wave generator, an elastic wave to the fluid medium in a manner of emitting towards the regulation portion(s) of the component, and determining an emitting period of time and a frequency of the elastic wave based on the stress value(s); returning to the step S1 when the emitting period of time has elapsed, until the stress value(s) is stable. The method and the device solve the problems that it is difficult to reduce and homogenize the residual stress on high-precision machined components, complex structural components, thin-walled structural components, and low-stiffness components.
Mechanical wave generator and method thereof
A wave generator has a wave emitter including an elongated dispersive waveguide and a source operatively connected to a first end of the waveguide. The source covers at least partially a surface area thereof. A signal generator is in operative connection with the transducer to create electrical signals. A computer is in operative connection with the signal generator to cause it to generate the electrical signals. A mechanical input wave is created by the source at the first end of the waveguide. The mechanical input wave is constructed independently of data related to a mechanical wave received from a source in the medium and taking into account the different predetermined propagation velocities of at least two component waves of the mechanical input wave so that they combine with each other at a second end of the waveguide to form the desired mechanical output wave in the medium.
MODULAR, SUBMERSIBLE ULTRASONIC TUBULAR TRANSDUCER
The ultrasonic tubular transducer is activated at the centre thereof by two symmetrical electromechanical converters. The vibration generated by the two electromechanical converters is converted and then transmitted to the tube via a coupler. The ultrasonic transducer can be vibrationally isolated from the interfaces thereof by caps equally suitable for connecting the transducer to a stationary frame, a free end or another similar ultrasonic transducer. A device for pre-stressing electromechanical converters has a hole bored at the centre thereof in order to allow cables from the transducer as well as from adjacent transducers to pass therethrough.
TREATMENTS FOR BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS AND MUSCLE TISSUE OPTIMIZATION USING EXTRACORPOREAL ACOUSTIC SHOCK WAVES
A method of treating red blood cells of a human patient has the steps of activating an acoustic shock wave generator or source to emit acoustic shock waves and subjecting a vascular system containing red blood cells and surrounding muscle tissue peripherally through an extremity of a patient to the acoustic shock waves by stimulating the extremity wherein the extremity is positioned within a path of the emitted shock waves and away from a geometric focal volume or point of the emitted shock waves. The methods also treat muscle tissue of aging patients, from muscle regeneration or athletes for legal performance enhancement without drugs.
Pressure wave generator with movable control rod for generating a pressure wave in a medium
Examples of a pressure wave generator configured to generate high energy pressure waves in a medium are disclosed. The pressure wave generator can include a movable piston with a guide through which a piston control rod can move or slide. The pressure wave generator can include a transducer coupled to a medium. During an impact of the piston on the transducer, the control rod can slide in the guide, which can reduce stress on the rod. The pressure wave generator can include a damper to decelerate the control rod, independently of the piston. Impact of the piston on the transducer transfers a portion of the piston's kinetic energy into the medium thereby generating pressure waves in the medium. A piston driving system may be used to provide precise and controlled launching or movement of the piston. Examples of methods of operating the pressure wave generator are disclosed.

Ultrasonic-Assisted Liquid Manipulation
A phased array of ultrasonic transducers may create arbitrary fields that can be utilized to manipulate fluids. This includes the translation of drops on smooth surfaces as well speeding the evaporation of fluids on wetted hands. Proposed herein is the use airborne ultrasound focused to the surface of the hand. The risk is that coupling directly into the bulk of the hand may cause damage to the cellular material through heating, mechanical stress, or cavitation. Using a phased array, the focus may be moved around, thus preventing acoustic energy from lingering too long on one particular position of the hand. While some signaling may penetrate into the hand, most of the energy (99.9%) is reflected. Also disclosed are methods to couple just to the wetted surface of the hand.
SHOCK WAVE GENERATOR DEVICES AND SYSTEMS
Provided are shock wave generator devices and systems having means for improved control of the combustion and detonation in the combustion chamber to result in improved accuracy and longer distance of efficiency. Further provided are shock wave generators having multi-barrels.
