Method for audio signal noise cancellation, apparatus for audio signal processing, and electronic device
A method for audio signal noise cancellation is provided. In response to current noise cancellation coefficients being required to be updated to new noise cancellation coefficients, the digital signal processor calculates the new noise cancellation coefficients and writes the new noise cancellation coefficients into an idle storage module in the at least two storage modules, and the digital signal processor sends an update request for updating the noise cancellation coefficients to the active noise cancellation module. The update request carries position information configured to indicate a position of the storage module to which the new noise cancellation coefficients is written. The active noise cancellation module reads the new noise cancellation coefficients in the storage module indicated by the position information based on the position information carried in the update request, and performs noise cancellation processing according to the new noise cancellation coefficients after a current noise cancellation processing cycle ends.

Selective allowance of sound in noise cancellation headset in an industrial work environment
According to one embodiment, a method, computer system, and computer program product for allowing selective sounds within a noise cancellation headset. The embodiment may include receiving a sound from a noise-filled environment. A source of the sound is a machine within the noise-filled environment. The embodiment may include determining that the sound is indicative of a problem within the noise-filled environment. The embodiment may include identifying a severity of the problem. The embodiment may include identifying a user within a boundary range of the problem. The boundary range is based, in part, on the severity of the problem. The user is wearing a noise cancellation headset which is actively cancelling sounds of the noise-filled environment. The embodiment may include allowing the sound to be heard within the noise cancellation headsets of the identified user.
AUDIO DEVICE WITH ACOUSTIC ECHO CANCELLATION
An audio device with acoustic echo cancellation includes a device cabinet having a cabinet interior; a first open back driver receiving a first open driver input from an audio source; a second open back driver receiving a second open driver input from the audio source, wherein the first open back driver and the second open back driver are acoustically coupled to the cabinet interior; a reference microphone located in the cabinet interior to record a reference microphone signal based on sound emitted within the cabinet interior by the first open back driver and the second open back driver based on the first open driver input and the second open driver input, respectively; and an acoustic echo cancellation block subtracting a representation of the reference microphone signal from a representation of a set of input microphone signals to provide an echo-cancelled output.
Managing characteristics of active noise reduction
A first input signal captured by one or more sensors associated with an ANR headphone is received. A frequency domain representation of the first input signal is computed for a set of discrete frequencies, based on which a set of parameters is generated for a digital filter disposed in an ANR signal flow path of the ANR headphone, the set of parameters being such that a loop gain of the ANR signal flow path substantially matches a target loop gain. Generating the set of parameters comprises: adjusting a response of the digital filter at frequencies (e.g., spanning between 200 Hz-5 kHz). A response of at least 3 second order sections of the digital filter is adjusted. A second input signal in the ANR signal flow path is processed using the generated set of parameters to generate an output signal for driving the electroacoustic transducer of the ANR headphone.

A drive assembly is provided between the body and the bar, the bar movably driven relative to the body. A noise cancellation device is provided to cancel or reduce noise in at least one of the airflow generator and the drive assembly.
CONTEXT AWARE COMPRESSOR FOR HEADPHONE AUDIO FEEDBACK PATH
A processor is configured to perform headphone playback with a playback audio signal. The processor produces a feedback signal from an internal microphone, compresses the feedback signal according to a variable compressor setting, and determines a context of usage of the headphone, as being one of running or jogging, transportation, and critical listening. In response, the processor changes the variable compressor setting and drives the headphone speaker with the compressed feedback signal combined with the playback audio signal. Other aspects are also described and claimed.
Noise reduction device, vehicle, and noise reduction method
An active noise reduction device includes: an adaptive filter that generates a cancelling signal by applying an adaptive filter to a reference signal that has a correlation with noise in a space in an automobile, the cancelling signal being used to output a cancelling sound for reducing the noise; and a filter coefficient updater that calculates a coefficient of the adaptive filter based on a predetermined update equation. At a first timing at which the output of the cancelling sound is started, the filter coefficient updater uses a first coefficient as an initial value of the update equation, the first coefficient being the coefficient of the adaptive filter calculated by the filter coefficient updater at a second timing that is prior to the first timing.
