COAXIAL CABLE AND CONNECTOR ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS OF ASSEMBLING SAME
The present disclosure describes a coaxial cable-connector assembly. The coaxial cable-connector assembly including a coaxial cable, a coaxial connector, and a polymeric sleeve. The outer connector body is swaged or crimped onto the polymeric sleeve. An end of a corrugated outer conductor of the coaxial cable is flared radially outwardly to form a flared end that secures the polymeric sleeve onto the coaxial cable. The polymeric sleeve separates the corrugated outer conductor of the coaxial cable from the outer conductor body of the coaxial connector to prevent direct radial electrical connection therebetween and the polymeric sleeve axially forces the flared end of the outer conductor of the coaxial cable in contact with a shoulder of the outer connector body of the coaxial connector. Additional coaxial cable-connector assemblies and related methods of assembling the same are described herein.
Cable with low mode conversion performance and method for making the same
A cable includes a first metal conductor, a first insulator, a second metal conductor and a second insulator. The first insulator includes a first arc-shaped surface. The second insulator includes a second arc-shaped surface. A distance between a central axis of the first metal conductor and a central axis of the second metal conductor is S. The first insulator and/or the second insulator are formed with a deformation surface at a position where the first insulator and the second insulator are in contact with each other. An outer diameter of a circle where the first arc-shaped surface is located and/or an outer diameter of a circle where the second arc-shaped surface is located is D, where S/D≤0.99. The cable of the present disclosure can achieve low mode conversion and improve high frequency characteristics.
ELECTRICAL CABLE WITH DIELECTRIC FILM
A cable includes an inner conductor and a dielectric layer extending around the inner conductor. The dielectric layer includes a linearly-stretched polypropylene film having a porous structure that includes a plurality of pores that extend through a thickness of the linearly-stretched polypropylene film. The dielectric layer includes air molecules trapped within the pores of the linearly-stretched polypropylene film such that the dielectric layer includes polypropylene and air. The cable includes an outer conductor extending around the dielectric layer.
Ethernet cable
An Ethernet cable that includes a pair of cores including a single-wire conductor and an insulator covering the single-wire conductor; and an armoring layer entirely covering the pair of cores, wherein the pair of cores are twisted together to have a twist pitch (P1) in a cable length direction satisfying certain characteristics.
CABLE WITH LOW MODE CONVERSION PERFORMANCE
A cable includes a first metal conductor, a first insulator, a second metal conductor and a second insulator. The first insulator is at least partially wrapped on the first metal conductor. The second insulator is at least partially wrapped on the second metal conductor. The first metal conductor is adapted to transmit a first signal. The second metal conductor is adapted to transmit a second signal. The cable also includes an intermediate layer material at least partially wound on the first insulator and the second insulator. A dielectric constant of the intermediate layer material is lower than that of the first insulator, and the dielectric constant of the intermediate layer material is lower than that of the second insulator. With this arrangement, the cable of the present disclosure is capable of realizing low mode conversion and improving the high frequency characteristics.
Semi-solid balanced audio cable
Audio cables including a conductor spirally wrapped in a non-conductive thread to centrally position the conductor within a channel comprising mostly air include a first conductor having a first diameter, and a non-conductive thread spirally wrapped around the center conductor, the non-conductive thread having a second diameter. A first jacket surrounds the center conductor and thread, having an inner diameter approximately equal to the first diameter plus twice the second diameter. A second conductor surrounds the first jacket and/or the center conductor and thread. In many implementations, the first diameter is less than the second diameter. A radially symmetric filler comprising a plurality of arms may form a corresponding plurality of channels.
Coaxial cable and medical cable using same
A coaxial cable includes a central conductor, and an electrical insulator formed around a circumference of the central conductor. The electrical insulator is made of an electrical insulating tape wrapped and overlapped around the circumference of the central conductor. The electrical insulating tape includes a plurality of voids formed on one outer circumferential surface.
Concentric Wireline Cable
A wireline system includes a control system, a downhole tool, and a wireline cable coupling the downhole tool and the control system. The wireline cable includes a plurality of conductors, which includes a core conductor and a concentric conductor disposed around the core conductor, wherein two of the plurality of conductors form a conductor pair, and wherein each of the plurality of conductors is configured to transmit power, data, or both, between the control system and the downhole tool. The wireline cable further includes one or more insulative layers, wherein at least one insulative layer is disposed between any two conductors.
