ULTRATHIN LOW-VOLTAGE ELECTRIC WIRE FOR AN AUTOMOBILE, AND WIRE HARNESS INCLUDING SAME
Provided is an ultrathin low-voltage electric wire for an automobile that includes a conductor part and an insulating layer covering the outer periphery of the conductor part, wherein the insulating layer includes a resin composition containing 100 parts by mass of a vinyl chloride resin, 29 to 31 parts by mass of a trimellitic acid-based ester plasticizer, 0.3 to 1.0 parts by mass of a processing aid, and 7 to 11 parts by mass of a thermal stabilizer, the conductor part has a cross-sectional area of 0.13±0.02 mm.sup.2, and the insulating layer has a thickness of 0.16 to 0.25 mm.
Sheath composition having flame retardancy and water resistance, and cable having sheath layer formed therefrom
Provided is a cable having a sheath composition having flame retardancy and water resistance, and a sheath layer formed of the sheath composition. Specifically, the present invention relates to a sheath composition for simultaneously improving flame retardancy and water resistance of a sheath layer of a cable, which are in a trade-off relation with each other, and physical properties such as heat resistance, hardness, and wear resistance, improving appearance, and reducing manufacturing costs; and a cable having a sheath layer formed of the sheath composition.
Polymer/ceramic hybrid thin film dielectric
A conductor assembly including an electrically conductive material defining a longitudinal axis, a microporous membrane surrounding the electrically conductive material defining a series of pores, and a ceramic material within at least a first portion of the series of pores.
Wire harness and method of manufacturing wire harness
A wire harness includes: an electrical wire including a core wire and an insulating covering for covering the core wire; and a sheet material in which the electrical wire is disposed on a resin main surface, and a part of the main surface having contact with the electrical wire is thermally processed with the insulating covering of the electrical wire, thereby forming an electrical wire fixing part. A part of the sheet material including the electrical wire fixing part is softer than the insulating covering.
FLAME-RETARDANT CABLE
The invention relates to a flame-retardant cable having improved reaction to fire performances, in particular a reduced or null dripping under fire. The cable has a transmissive core and an outermost layer made from a flame-retardant polymer composition comprising: a) 100 phr of polyvinylchloride (PVC) as base polymer; b) 65-90 phr of a metal hydroxide; c) 2-9 phr of antimony trioxide; d) 1-3 phr of an optionally surface-modified sepiolite, and e) 3-10 phr of a Ca/Zn stabilizer.
POLY(VINYL CHLORIDE) MIXTURES FOR WIRE AND CABLE COVERINGS
A flame retardant, flexible polyvinyl chloride mixture includes a trio of plasticizers and molybdate-based smoke suppressant for use in wire and cable articles.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ELECTRICAL CABLE, AND RESULTING PRODUCT, WITH REDUCED REQUIRED INSTALLATION PULLING FORCE
Disclosed are cable types, including a type THHN cable, the cable types having a reduced surface coefficient of friction, and the method of manufacture thereof, in which the central conductor core and insulating layer are surrounded by a material containing nylon or thermosetting resin. A silicone based pulling lubricant for said cable, or alternatively, erucamide or stearyl erucamide for small cable gauge wire, is incorporated, by alternate methods, with the resin material from which the outer sheath is extruded, and is effective to reduce the required pulling force between the formed cable and a conduit during installation.
Communication cable and wire harness
A communication cable includes an insulated wire including a conductor and a covering layer covering the conductor, the covering layer being made of an insulator, and a sheath covering an outer circumferential surface of the insulated wire, the sheath including a resin composition containing a polyolefin and a thermoplastic elastomer. A tensile modulus of elasticity of the sheath is 500 MPa or less, and a mass increase rate of the sheath is less than 50% by mass when the sheath is immersed in a diisononyl phthalate at 100° C. for 72 hours.
