CABLE AND WIRE ROUTING IN A MECHANICAL ARM OF A SURGICAL APPARATUS
An apparatus for performing electrosurgical operations using an electrosurgical power generator comprises an articulated mechanical arm, an electrosurgical grasper connected to the mechanical arm at a distal end thereof, a flexible sleeve at least partly disposed in a bendable portion of the arm, an outer surface of the sleeve comprising a plurality of surface features that define a helical wire-path around a central longitudinal axis of the sleeve, an actuation-cable passing through an inner conduit of the sleeve and mechanically coupled to the grasper to open and shut the grasper, and an electrically conductive wire for providing electrical connectivity from the power generator to the grasper, the wire being disposed on the outside of the sleeve and engaged with one or more of the surface features so as to follow therethrough the helical wire-path.
CONDUCTIVE PATH PROTECTION STRUCTURE
A conductive path protection structure includes a first protector configured to accommodate a conductive path therein and to protect the conductive path, and a second protector configured to accommodate the first protector therein. An identification mark for identifying a specification of the conductive path is provided on a peripheral surface of the first protector. The second protector is formed with an opening configured to expose the identification mark therethrough to an outside of the second protector.
Flame retardant communication cables incorporating extinguishants
Flame retardant communications cables may include at least one transmission media and at least one other component, such as a separator, buffer tube, jacket, shield layer, or wrap. The at least one other component may include a body portion, and at least one cavity formed in the body portion in which an extinguishant is positioned. Additionally, the at least one transmission media is not positioned within the at least one cavity.
HYBRID CABLE ASSEMBLY WITH CIRCUIT BREAKING DEVICE FOR OVERVOLTAGE PROTECTION
A hybrid jumper cable assembly includes: a plurality of power conductors; a plurality of optical fibers; a jacket surrounding the power conductors and the optical fibers; one or more connectors connected with the power conductors and the optical fibers; and a fuse electrically connected with one of the plurality of power conductors.
Communication wire
The present invention relates to an improved insulated conductor with a low dielectric constant and reduced materials costs. The conductor (12) extends along a longitudinal axis and an insulation (14, 14<1>) surrounds the conductor (12). At least on channel (16, 16<1>) in the insulation (14, 14<1>) extends generally along the longitudinal axis to form an insulated conductor. Apparatuses and methods of manufacturing the improved insulated conductors are also disclosed.
Polymer composition for use in cables
A polymer composition that comprises an olefinic polymer, a flame retardant that includes a halogen-free mineral filler, and a compatibilizing agent is provided. The halogen-free mineral filler constitutes from about 20 wt. % to about 80 wt. % of the composition. The composition may exhibit a degree of water uptake of about 5 wt. % or less after being immersed in water for seven days at a temperature of 23° C.
WRAPPABLE END FRAY RESISTANT WOVEN PROTECTIVE TEXTILE SLEEVE AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION THEREOF
An end fray resistant textile sleeve includes an elongate wall having warp yarns extending generally parallel to a longitudinal central axis of the sleeve and fill yarns extending circumferentially about the sleeve. The warp yarns include at least two different types of yarns, with one of the types of warp yarns including activateable yarns and another of the types of yarns including non-activateable yarns. The activateable yarns can be provided as being activateable by at least one of heat, fluid and/or pressure, such that upon being activated, the yarns are caused to bond with the adjacent non-activateable warp yarns, as well as with the weft yarns with which they make contact. As such, the activateable yarns, upon being activated, become fixed with abutting warp yarns and weft yarns, thereby inhibiting end fray from resulting during a subsequent cold-cutting operation as well as in use.
Wire harness
A wire harness includes a first electric wire member including a first flexible wire and a hard wire electrically connected to the first flexible wire, a second electric wire member including a second flexible wire, and a tubular member through which the first and second electric wire members extend. The wire harness also includes a tubular holder that is attached to a longitudinal end portion of the tubular member and holds the first and second electric wire members therein. The holder has a first housing recess that is located in an inner surface of the holder and houses the second electric wire member.
MC CABLE WITH TEARABLE ASSEMBLY TAPE
Disclosed is an armored cable assembly including a core having a notched assembly tape about a plurality of conductors. A metal sheath surrounds the core.
