Electric connector and method for manufacturing the same
An electric connector is disposed between a connection terminal of a first device and a connection terminal of a second device, and electrically connects these connection terminals. The electric connector includes a resin layer, and a plurality of metal wires extending through the resin layer in a thickness direction, and having a rectangular shape on surfaces to be connected to the connection terminals. At least first sides of the rectangular shapes of the metal wires are arranged at equal intervals along the same direction. The length of short sides of the rectangular shapes are less than 5 μm.
SELF-SUPPORTING OVERHEAD TELECOMMUNICATION/POWER CABLE
A self-supporting overhead telecommunication/power cable includes a supporting portion and a transmission portion mutually arranged according to a figure-8 configuration. The transmission portion includes at a central position thereof, an optical fibre conductor and, at a radially outer position with respect to the optical fibre conductor, electrical conductors stranded around the optical fibre conductor. Preferably, the electrical conductors are grouped into sub-units which are stranded around the optical fibre conductor to provide a mechanical protection thereto.
Multiple conduits bundled together in a combination conduit configuration
Example embodiments provide a device that includes a main cable jacket including one or more sub-cable jackets, and each of the sub-cable jackets includes a number of conduits.
Downhole cable and method of making a downhole cable
A cable that has a cable core with a first armor wire layer and a second armor wire layer. The second armor wire layer is segregated from the first armor wire layer, and an outer jacket is disposed about the second armor wire layer.
Differential signal transmission cable
A differential signal transmission cable includes: an insulating electric wire having a pair of conductive wires and an insulating layer covering the pair of conductive wires; a shield tape wound around an outer periphery of the insulating electric wire; a first tape wound around an outer periphery of the shield tape and having a first resin covering layer; and a second tape wound around an outer periphery of the first tape and having a second covering layer. The second covering layer is made of a high softening point material having a softening point that is higher than a softening point of the first resin covering layer.
TWO-CORE CABLE
A two-core cable includes two coated wires and a metal tape. Each of the two coated wires includes a conductor and an insulating layer that covers an outer surface of the conductor, and the metal tape is configured to collectively cover outer surfaces of the two coated wires. The metal tape has a structure in which a resin layer and a metal layer are stacked, and the resin layer is located towards the two coated wires relative to the metal layer.
Armoured power cable
An armoured power cable (10) comprises a cable core (11) and an armour layer (21) comprising a plurality of armouring wires (22) laid around the cable core (11), wherein at least 10% of the armouring wires (22) are wavy wires (23) having a zig-zag shape laying on the outer surface of the cable core (11).
INSULATED ELECTRIC CORD
An insulated electric cord (102) comprises an elongate covering arrangement (12) and at least two elongate electrical conductors (14, 16) held within the covering arrangement (12). The insulated electric cord (102) further comprises an elongate load bearing member (20) held within the covering arrangement (12). The insulated electric cord (102) further comprises an elongate flexible cutting member (22) held within the covering arrangement (12). The elongate electrical conductors (14, 16), the elongate load bearing member (20), and the elongate flexible cutting member (22) extend longitudinally through the covering arrangement (12). The elongate flexible cutting member (22) extends through the covering arrangement (12) adjacent the elongate load bearing member (20). The cutting member (22) is capable of cutting the covering arrangement (12), thereby allowing a portion of the load bearing member (20) to be extracted from the covering arrangement (12).
