A cover for a cable harness including: (i) a first layer comprising a first color; (ii) a second layer layered adjacent to the first layer, the second layer comprising a second color that is different than the first color; and (iii) an adhesive layer adhered to the first layer, at least a portion of the adhesive is not covered by the second layer. The first color can black, while the second color is white. The second layer comprises fibers that can be substantially free of dye. At least one of the first layer and the second layer can be polyethylene terephthalate. The cover can cover a plurality of cables of a cable harness. If wear forms a hole through the first layer, the second color of the second layer is visible from an environment external to the covered cable harness through the hole through the first layer.

Colorless twisted pair communication cables may include a plurality of twisted pairs of individually insulated conductors and a jacket formed around the plurality of twisted pairs. The cable may be formed to be completely free of colorant or to include a cable core defined by the jacket that is fee of colorant. When the electrode wires are conducted with an AC power source, the luminescent layer emits light. The AC electroluminescent power cord of the disclosure not only has a simple and reliable structure, but also has a display function. When applied for various electronic devices, the AC electroluminescent power cord of the disclosure integrally emits light or sequentially emits light in sections to simulate and display the current flow.

An object of the present disclosure is to provide a technique that can prevent, in a wire harness including a fixing member, the fixing member from being attached in a deviated orientation. A wire harness includes: a wiring member; a fixing member provided on the wiring member; and a first reference mark and a second reference mark that are each provided at a position of the wiring member that corresponds to the fixing member. The first reference mark and the second reference mark each have a distinctive external appearance in a circumferential direction of the wiring member. The first reference mark indicates a reference position of the wiring member in the circumferential direction, and the second reference mark indicates a position of the wiring member in the circumferential direction, the position serving as a reference for an attachment orientation of the fixing member.

The present disclosure relates to a color-coded cable identification assembly and a cable. The cable identification assembly comprises: a support element including a fixing element adapted to fix the support element to a cable; and a plurality of identification elements, which are detachably mounted on the support element with the cable being located between the support element and the plurality of identification elements. Each identification element has a predetermined color so that the plurality of identification elements are capable of forming a predetermined color code to identify the cable. The cable identification assembly according to the present disclosure can be very easily and rapidly mounted to the cable, thereby greatly saving the installation time of workers and thus reducing the labor cost and the chance of making a mistake. Compared with a conventional adhesive tape, the cable identification assembly according to the present disclosure can meet the requirements such as anti-ultraviolet, anti-aging and reuse, thereby further reducing the cost of the cable identification assembly.

The present disclosure relates to a cable having a light-emitting element. An exemplary embodiment of the cable has, in addition to the light-emitting element, a cable core comprising at least one cable construction element. The cable also has a reflective layer, which at least partially surrounds the cable core along a tangential direction with respect to a cable axis of the cable and which is designed to reflect light that is emitted by the light-emitting element. The cable also has a sheath, which is designed to conduct the light emitted by the light-emitting element around the cable core substantially in the tangential direction and to couple said light out substantially in the radial direction with respect to the cable axis. The reflectivity of the reflective layer varies in the tangential direction.

Electrodes for use in electroencephalographic recording, including consciousness and seizure monitoring applications, have novel features that speed, facilitate or enforce proper placement of the electrodes, including any of alignment indicators, tabs and juts, color coding, and an insulating bridge between reference and ground electrodes which ensures a safe application distance between the conductive regions of the two electrodes in the event of cardiac defibrillation. A method of using a set of at least four such electrodes is also disclosed.

LASER-MARKABLE CABLES AND SYSTEMS FOR MAKING THE SAME

Laser-markable cable layers for a cable are provided. The laser-markable cable layers include an inner layer formed of a first polymer material and an outer layer formed of a second polymer material and a laser-marking compound. The outer layer is about 0.5% to about 50% of the thickness of the inner layer. The laser-markable cable layers surround a wire or cable core. Methods of marking a cable having laser-markable cable layers are also provided.
