Coil component and electronic device
A coil component includes: a core part including: a winding shaft; and a planar flange part provided at an axial-direction end of the winding shaft, and having a groove part provided on an exterior face thereof where a lead part led out from a conductor wound around the winding shaft into the groove part, wherein the flange part has a first recessed part provided on a first side face intersecting with the long axis of the groove part and communicated with the groove part, wherein the area of a cross section, taken in a direction parallel with the first side face, of the first recessed part, is greater than the area of a cross section, taken in a direction parallel with the first side face.
Core component, method of manufacturing same, and inductor
A core component is made of a sintered body of an inorganic powder, in which the core component includes a columnar winding portion around which a conductive wire is wound, the columnar winding portion having a first axial end and a second axial end and a flange portion integrally formed with the winding portion at both axial ends of the winding portion, in which the columnar winding portion includes, in a cross section orthogonal to an axial center, a first region having a curved outer peripheral surface having a first radius of curvature and a second region having a curved surface having a second radius of curvature, the second radius of curvature is smaller than the first radius of curvature and the first region and the second region are connected with each other via a first projection.
Coil component
A coil component includes a winding core that includes a winding core portion, a first flange portion, and a second flange portion. The coil component further includes a plate core that has a main surface facing the winding core portion, the first flange portion, and the second flange portion, that extends between the first flange portion and the second flange portion, and that is secured to the winding core by using adhesive. Each of the first flange portion and the second flange portion has an upper surface that faces the main surface of the plate core. Recessed portions are formed on the corresponding upper surfaces. Protrusions may be formed in corresponding regions in which the recessed portions are formed.
Wire-wound inductor component
A wire-wound inductor component includes a core including an axial portion that extends in an axial direction and is pillar-shaped and a first support and a second support disposed respectively on a first end and a second end in the axial direction of the axial portion; a first terminal electrode and a second terminal electrode disposed respectively on a bottom face of the first support and a bottom face of the second support; a wire wound around the axial portion, with first and second end portions of the wire being connected respectively to the first and second terminal electrodes; and a cover member that covers at least part of the wire on an upper face of the axial portion and has a terminal indentation depth of 0.85 μm or more. The adhesive strength of a top face of the cover member is less than or equal to 3.28 gf/mm.sup.2.
Ferrite core and winding coil component
A ferrite core includes a ferrite sintered body in which integrally formed are a winding core portion, extending in a lengthwise direction, and flange portions provided at both ends in the lengthwise direction of the winding core portion and projecting from the winding core portion in at least a height direction orthogonal to the lengthwise direction. Pores are present inside the winding core portion and the flange portions, and an abundance ratio of the pores in the winding core portion is equal to or more than about 0.05% and equal to or less than about 1.00% (i.e., from about 0.05% to about 1.00%).
Inductive filtering device with toric magnetic core
An inductive filtering device includes a first toric magnetic core without an air gap formed around a central void; a first electrical conductor formed of turns that are wound around the first magnetic core without passing through the central void, wherein no electrical conductor passes through the central void.

ELECTRONIC COMPONENT AND METHODS RELATING TO SAME
An electronic component, such as, for example, an inductor, includes a core defining an axis and a conductor that is at least partially wound about the core. The electronic component further includes a mounting surface defining a plane that extends substantially parallel to the axis of the core. The mounting surface is configured to engage a surface of a board. The conductor may include a first terminal and a second terminal extending along the plane such that the first and second terminals are able to be mounted to the surface of the board.
Common mode filter
Disclosed herein is a common mode filter that includes a winding core part and first and second wires wound in a same direction around the winding core part. The first and second wires constitute a first winding block on one endmost side in an axial direction of the winding core part, a second winding block on other endmost side in the axial direction of the winding core part, and a third winding block positioned between the first and second winding blocks. The second winding block is a winding block at an odd-numbered position counted from the first winding block. The first and second wires cross each other in an area between the first and third winding blocks and in an area between the second and third winding blocks.
