SENSING DEVICE FOR SENSING THE POSITION OF A MOVABLE OBJECT
A detection device (18) for detecting the position of a moving object comprises a base (20); an arm (22) that is mounted rotatable to the base (20), wherein the arm (22) is rotatable around a first rotational axis (26) and has a free end (28) for contact with the moving object; and a sensor (24) that is configured to detect rotation of the arm (22) relative to the base (20), wherein the sensor (24) has a first part and a second part, wherein the first part moves with the arm (22), and the second part is attached to the base (20). The first part is a first component of a magnet (40) switch (42) pair, wherein the switch is an electrical switch (42) that is configured to be actuated by the magnetic field of the magnet (40), and the second part is another component of the magnet (40) switch (42) pair.
Limit switch
A limit switch may be provided with a switch body having a contact mechanism inside, and an operation unit connected to the switch body. The operation unit comprises an elastic part that energizes the operation lever from the first motion position towards the return position via the pivoting shaft and the first cam, and energizes the operation lever from the second motion position toward the return position via the pivoting shaft and the second cam, a first cam's pivoting restriction part that restricts the pivoting of the first cam in a first direction in which the operation lever moves from the return position to the second motion position, and a second cam's pivoting restriction part that restricts the pivoting to the second cam in a second direction in which die operation lever moves from the return position to the first motion position.
Limit switch
A limit switch is provided with a switch body having a contract mechanism inside, and an operation unit connected to the switch body. The operation unit may include a pivoting shaft support that permits pivoting of the pivoting shaft with respect to the housing body in a state of an external force along the extending direction of the pivoting shaft being not applied to the operation lever, and contacts the peripheral wall to support the pivoting shaft in a state of an external force along the extending direction of the pivoting shaft being applied to the operation lever.
Limit switch
A limit switch is provided with a switch body having a contact mechanism inside, and an operation unit detachably connected to the switch body. The operation unit may include a pivoting shaft and a bearing. One of the pivoting shaft and the bearing includes a protrusion that extends in a radial direction with respect to the pivoting shaft. The other of the pivoting shaft and the hearing includes a pivoting restriction part that is disposed around the pivoting shaft so as to be able to contact the protrusion, and restricts pivoting of the protrusion around the pivoting shaft.

LIMIT SWITCH
A limit switch includes: a switch main body capable of being switched on and off; and an operation unit connected to the switch main body. The operation unit includes: a housing having a box shape; a shaft portion including a shaft main body and a cam portion the shaft main body being supported by the housing in a state of being rotatable forward from a return position toward a first operation position around a rotation axis extending in the first direction and being rotatable backward from the return position toward a second operation position opposite to the first operation position with respect to the return position, the cam portion being provided in the shaft main body located inside the housing and being configured to rotate forward and backward together with the shaft main body; a biasing portion configured to return the shaft main body to the return position; and a plunger configured to move in the second direction by rotation of the cam portion to switch on and off of the switch main body, and configured to be able to set an operation mode from either one-side operation or both-side operation.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FAULT-TOLERANT END OF TRAVEL DETECTION FOR GREATER THAN 360 DEGREE MOTION
A system and method for detecting end of travel in a rotational joint with greater than 360 of travel are provided. The system includes first and second limit switches coupled to the rotational joint for signaling end of travel of the rotational joint in clockwise and counterclockwise directions; a limit switch cam ring configured to actuate the first limit switch at a first rotational position in the clockwise direction and the second limit switch at a second rotational position in the counterclockwise direction, the cam ring configured to rotate in the direction of joint rotation when the rotational joint is in an ambiguity region of joint travel; first and second cam ring return mechanisms for returning the cam ring to a default position after triggering the first and second limit switches, respectively; and an actuation pin mounted to the rotational joint such that the actuation pin follows joint rotation exactly, the actuation pin configured to actuate the cam ring.
