METHOD OF MAKING A CURRENT BREAKER
To produce a current disconnector for automotive safety systems having a conductor (1) which has at least one weakened disconnection point (7a, 7b), the conductor (1) is overmoulded in a plastic injection-moulding tool (2, 3). According to the invention, the disconnection point or disconnection points (7a, 7b) of the conductor (1) is/are produced in the plastic injection-moulding tool (2, 3). This not only simplifies production, it also prevents damage to the conductor, which is fragile owing to the weakened disconnection point, before it is stabilised by the overmoulding. Preferably, the disconnection point or disconnection points (7a, 7b) is/are produced by the closing movement of the plastic injection-moulding tool (2, 3). The disconnection point or disconnection points (7a. 7b) can also be produced in the preheating region of the plastic injection-moulding tool.
Circuit interrupter
A circuit interrupter includes: a first fixed terminal including a first fixed contact; a movable contactor which is formed as a separate part from the first fixed terminal and includes a first movable contact; a holding unit configured to hold the movable contactor so that the first movable contact is connected to the first fixed contact; and a squib configured to generate gas by combustion. In the circuit interrupter, pressure of the gas generated by the squib causes movement of the movable contactor in a direction away from the first fixed terminal so that the first movable contact is separated from the first fixed contact.
DIRECT CURRENT ELECTRIC CIRCUIT INTERRUPTING SWITCH ASSEMBLY
A direct current electric circuit interrupting switch assembly is disclosed that comprises a pyroswitch assembly, which comprises at least two pyroswitches, which are connected in parallel with each other and are each per se integrated in its respective electrically conductive branch together forming a second branch of the primary electric conductor the switch assembly, with a first, preceding pyroswitch and a second, subsequent, or last pyroswitch. Each of said pyroswitches comprises an interrupting member, by means of which each circuit with each of the pyroswitches is either connected during normal operation or is interrupted by displacing each corresponding interrupting member into another position, when a pre-determined condition is met.
CONTACTOR DEVICE, ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A CONTACTOR DEVICE
The present invention relates to a contactor device for high voltage applications, an energy storage system comprising the contactor device and a corresponding method for controlling the contactor device. A contactor device (100) comprises at least one fixed contact (106), at least one moveable contact (108), which is configured to move between an open position and a closed position, wherein in the closed position, the at least one moveable contact (108) electrically contacts the at least one fixed contact (106), and at least one first actuator (110, 120), which is configured to reversibly move the at least one moveable contact between the open position and the closed position. The contactor device (100) further comprises at least one second actuator (202) which is configured to move the at least one fixed contact (106) into a fired position, wherein in the fired position, the at least one fixed contact (106) is permanently disconnected from the at least one moveable contact (108).
Fusing apparatus
A fusing apparatus including a main connection member provided on a main path and having one side and the other side electrically connected to the main path, respectively, a sub connection member provided on a sub path and having one side and the other side electrically connected to the sub path, respectively, and a shifting member provided between the main connection member and the sub connection member and configured to be moved and coupled from the main connection member to sub connection member to shift a connection relation from a connected state of the main connection member to a connected state of the sub connection member.
SWITCH FOR INTERRUPTION OF A DIRECT CURRENT CIRCUIT POWERED BY TWO ELECTRIC VOLTAGE SOURCES
The present disclosure refers to a switch for interrupting of a circuit in which two voltage sources and at least one load are connected, wherein the switch actuate quickly in an emergency. The switch includes a main conductor connecting both electric voltage sources and said load, bridged by a supplemental conductor which is in parallel with the two voltage sources and the load, and prior to activation of the switch, interrupted and electrically open. A branch with an integrated fuse is in parallel with the main conductor and linked at two connecting points between the two electric voltage sources while the connecting points includes a movable section which under pre-determined conditions moves from contact with the main conductor into an alternate position in contact with the supplemental conductor, resulting in an open circuit across the main conductor and a closed circuit across the supplemental conductor.
QUICK-BREAK DISCONNECT SWITCH
The present invention relates to a quick circuit breaker, that is, a switch with which an electrical circuit can be disconnected particularly quickly. Such switches are occasionally also referred to as pyrotechnic disconnect devices or as electrical interrupting switching elements. In particular, it is a quick circuit breaker (10) which comprises a current supply contact and a current discharge contact which are connected by a conductor (20) and in which the conductor (20) is guided through a separation chamber (12) and an expansion vessel (18) being provided in the separation chamber (12), the expansion vessel (18) being able to be expanded by an explosive charge. It is further about a method for emergency disconnection of a circuit.
Electrical Fuse Device, Method of Manufacturing a Fuse Device and a Method of Operating an Electrical Fuse Device
A fuse device comprising a housing, at least two connection lugs, a connecting element between the connection lugs, and an actuator. The actuator moves the connecting element from a closed position, in which it connects the connection lugs, to an open position, in which it is disconnected from at least one of the connection tabs. A particularly well-conducting connection between the connection lugs and the connecting element, which can nevertheless be easily disconnected by the actuator, is achieved by the connecting element being interference-fitted between the connection lugs.
