The background layer may be opaque and the glyph window may be transparent. The keycap is adhered to a scissor mechanism positioned above electrical switch circuitry. Included within, below, or adjacent to the scissor mechanism may be one or more light sources positioned to emit light through the keycap, around the perimeter of the keycap, and/or through the background layer.
Detachable screen key structure
A detachable screen key structure mainly includes a key body having a hollow portion, key butting element and screen carrying element, where a key signal connecter is configured in the hollow portion, the screen carrying element is configured with a display element and a key cap is configured on the display element, and the display element is configured with a display butting element adapted to dock the key butting element. Whereby, a user can accommodate the key signal connecter for signal transmission inside the hollow portion so as to increase use beautification. Furthermore, since the display will be connected to the key butting element through the display butting element, the user is allowed to carry out the removal and replacement by themselves, which can increase use convenience.
Key switch structure and assembling method thereof
A key switch structure and an assembling method thereof are provided. The key switch structure includes a bottom plate, a keycap, a supporting assembly, first connectors, and second connectors. The keycap is disposed on the bottom plate. The supporting assembly is disposed between the bottom plate and the keycap. The first connectors disposed on the bottom plate are integrally formed and directly bonded to the upper surface of the bottom plate, wherein the first connectors and the bottom plate are made of different materials. The second connectors are disposed on the keycap. The supporting assembly is connected to the bottom plate and the keycap through the first connectors and the second connectors.

KEYCAPS HAVING REDUCED THICKNESS
An illuminated glass keycap having a glyph diffuser layer that may diffuse light through a glyph window opened in a background layer.
Uniform illumination of keys on a flexible substrate
Systems and methods for providing illumination to illuminable portions of keys associated with a keyboard are described. A key disposed on a flexible substrate includes a light guide positioned below a keycap. The light guide includes one or more light extraction features to produce a substantially uniform light distribution of light from a light emitting element at an illuminable portion of the key. In one embodiment, a light emitting element is positioned on the flexible substrate and is optically coupled to the light guide. In another embodiment, a light emitting element is positioned below the flexible substrate and is optically coupled to the light guide via an optical interface.
LIGHTING KEYBOARD, BACKLIGHT MODULE AND LIGHTING BOARD
A backlight module is configured to illuminate at least one key cap. The backlight module includes a light emitting unit, a light guide plate and a lighting board. The light guide plate has a light guide hole for accommodating the light emitting unit. The lighting board has a pair of pads connected to the light emitting unit respectively. The lighting board includes a first reflective layer surrounding the light emitting unit and at least partially overlapping with the pair of pads. One of the pair of pads has a first branch and a first hollow area behind the first branch, the other one of the pair of pads has a second branch and a second hollow area behind the second branch, and the light emitting unit is disposed between the first hollow area and the second hollow area.
ILLUMINATED KEYSWITCH STRUCTURE
An illuminated keyswitch structure includes a base plate, a keycap, and a light-emitting die package. The light-emitting die package is disposed to illuminate the keycap through the base plate. The light-emitting die package comprises a warm color temperature light-emitting die and a cold color temperature light-emitting die, and the light-emitting dis package extends along an arrangement direction. Each of the two light-emitting dies has a short side arranged adjacent to each other, with a long side of each of the two light-emitting dies facing a same direction and configured proximate to each other. A gap between the two adjacent short sides of the two light-emitting dies is not greater than either one of the two adjacent short sides of the two light-emitting dies.
Light-emitting keyswitch, cap structure and cap structure manufacturing method thereof
A light-emitting keyswitch includes a board, a lifting mechanism and a cap structure. The cap structure is assembled with the lifting mechanism to be movable upward and downward relative to the board and includes a cap and a light-emitting layer. The light-emitting layer includes first and second pad layers disposed on a lateral contour surface of the cap and spaced from each other, a lower electrode layer, a dielectric layer, an electroluminescent layer, an upper electrode layer and a transparent pattern layer stacked on a top surface of the cap, and an external trace structure. The lower and upper electrode layers are connected to the first and second pad layers respectively. The external trace structure is connected to the first and second pad layers for transmitting power to the upper and lower electrode layers, so as to drive the electroluminescent layer to emit light to the transparent pattern layer.
Electronic devices having keys with coherent fiber bundles
An electronic device may have a reconfigurable keyboard. The keyboard may be formed from an array of keys coupled to a housing. Each key may have a movable key member and an associated key display. Control circuitry in the keyboard may direct the key displays to display dynamically adjustable key labels for the keys. Each key movable key member may be formed from a fiber optic plate. The fiber optic plate may be formed from a coherent fiber bundle with opposing first and second surfaces. The first surface may be adjacent to the key display and may receive key label images from the key display. The second surface may face outwardly towards a user and may receive key press input from the fingers of a user while presenting key label images for viewing.
