A key structure and an assembly method thereof are provided. The key structure includes a base plate, a switch, two fixing bases, two movable members and a keycap. The base plate includes upper and bottom surfaces, and has a first accommodation hole and two second accommodation holes. The switch is disposed on the base plate through the first accommodation hole. The two fixing bases are disposed on the base plate respectively through the two second accommodation holes. Each fixing base has a guiding channel. The two movable members are disposed in the two guiding channels. The keycap is disposed on the switch and the two movable members. Each fixing base includes a first portion protruded from the upper surface and a second portion protruded from the bottom surface. The vertical projection area of the first portion is not greater than the vertical projection area of the second portion.

A base unit for a keyboard is presented. The base unit has a substantially rectangular layout. The base unit includes an equipment portion, formed so that it can be equipped with a plurality of key switches for the keyboard. The equipment portion is arranged on a first side of the base unit. The base unit further comprises at least one coupling portion for mechanically coupling the base unit to an accessory module for the keyboard. Each coupling portion includes a first coupling feature and a second coupling feature. The first coupling feature is arranged on the first side of the base unit, and the second coupling feature is arranged on a second side of the base unit facing away from the first side. Each coupling feature is arranged parallel to a long side of the base unit continuously between narrow sides of the base unit. The first coupling feature is formed for positive locking with a first mounting feature of the accessory module. The second coupling feature is formed for positive locking with a second mounting feature of the accessory module.

The plug-in switch fixing structure includes a pin and a contact ring, where the pin is fixedly arranged on a corresponding structure, and the width of a middle portion of the pin is greater than the width of a lower end of the pin; when the pin is inserted into the contact ring, an inner side wall of the contact ring can squeeze the pin and abut against the pin; and the contact ring is fixedly arranged at a corresponding position. The keyboard includes a switch and a PCB, the switch is provided with a contact piece and a terminal, and the pin is fixedly arranged below the contact piece and/or the terminal; the PCB is provided with a hole, and the contact ring is located in the hole.

Waterproof key module

Disclosed is a waterproof key module, including: a housing with a hollow inner chamber and an opening at an end, comprising a front housing portion and a bottom housing portion secured to each other, and the opening being provided on the front housing portion; a touch component limited in the inner chamber, comprising a touch plate extending out from the opening; and a waterproof adhesive film in a pre-tensioned status and isolating the touch component from the bottom housing portion, an edge of the film being secured to a position where the front housing portion is connected to the bottom housing portion, and the touch component being supported on the film; wherein at least one pressure sensor module is provided between the touch component and the bottom housing portion and configured to generate a pressure signal that represents a pressure degree according to a pressing on the touch component.

A key structure is provided. The key structure includes a switch and a keycap. The switch includes a stem. The keycap is located over the switch. The keycap includes a pressing surface, an inner bottom surface and a protrusion post. The pressing surface and the inner bottom surface are opposed to each other. The protrusion post is protruded downwardly from the inner bottom surface. The protrusion post includes an insertion groove and at least one exhaust recess. When the stem is tightly fitted into the insertion groove, a gap is formed between the at least one exhaust recess and the stem.

A waterproof keypad module, comprising a waterproof film (7) which is in a pre-tightened state and which isolates a touch component from a bottom casing (4); an edge of said waterproof film being fixed at the position where a front casing (1) and the bottom casing (4) connect, and said touch component being supported on said waterproof film (7). The edge of said waterproof film is fixed at the position where the front casing (1) and bottom casing (4) connect, wherein the touch component may be completely isolated from the bottom casing (4) by means of the waterproof film (7); thus, even if a gap exists between the touch component and casing, water cannot pass through the waterproof film (7) and enter the bottom casing (4), thus achieving waterproofing of the keypad module.

Keyboard with vibration function

A keyboard with a vibration function is provided. The keyboard includes a base member, an upper cover, a basic key structure and a vibration key structure. The vibration key structure includes a control module, a vibration keycap and an isolation element. The control module is fixed on the upper cover. When the control module is triggered, a vibration key signal is generated and a vibration action is provided. The control module is covered by the vibration keycap. The vibration keycap is exposed outside the upper cover. The isolation element is arranged between the control module and the upper cover. The vibration key structure is enclosed by the isolation element, so that the energy of the vibration action from the control module is isolated.

Switch and keyboard

A switch, keyboard and associated methods are provided. In one implementation, the switch includes a housing having a protruding portion configured to be received in an aperture formed on a substrate, a plunger operable to move with respect to the housing, a first contact member located in the housing, and a second contact member extending from the protruding portion of the housing. The second contact member is operable to, based at least in part on the plunger being moved in a first direction, deform to a predefined extent to electrically contact the first contact member. The switch provides a low profile appearance but not compromising the smooth and quickly responsive striking motion for a mechanical switch, such that a clean design can be provided while the input experience and durability are maintained. A keyboard is also provided.
