A keyboard device includes a casing, a circuit board, plural keys and an electrostatic conduction module. The circuit board is disposed within the casing. The circuit board includes a ground terminal. The plural keys installed in the corresponding key slots of the casing. The electrostatic conduction module includes a first conductive element, an elastic conductive element and a second conductive element. The first conductive element is installed on a keycap of the key. The elastic conductive element is disposed within the casing and contacted with the circuit board. The second conductive element is connected between the first conductive element and the elastic conductive element. Moreover, electrostatic charges on the keycap are transferred to the circuit board through the first conductive element, the second conductive element and the elastic conductive element and discharged from the ground terminal of the circuit board.

Package-integrated bistable switch for electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection

Embodiments may relate to a package substrate that includes a signal line and a ground line. The package substrate may further include a switch communicatively coupled with the ground line. The switch may have an open position where the switch is communicatively decoupled with the signal line, and a closed position where the switch is communicatively coupled with the signal line. The switch is configured to move within a cavity inside the package substrate between an open position and a closed position, a conductive material is coupled to the switch and to a ground via in the package substrate, and the conductive material is configured to move with the switch, such that the switch is conductively coupled to the ground via in the open position and the closed position.

A ground switch apparatus for grounding a power source having a high voltage and/or current. The ground switch apparatus is a passive mechanical device and marine compatible, and includes components having low moisture absorption properties and corrosion resistant. The ground switch apparatus includes a grounding assembly that engages a connection mechanism to ground the power source that is electronically coupled to the ground switch. The ground switch apparatus can be configured, for example by physically moving components within the ground switch, to provide a grounded or ungrounded/open circuit configuration. To provide ground, a grounding assembly connects smoothly to a connection mechanism, for example using a pin-and-socket connection. The ground switch apparatus includes sealed components, anodized parts, and selected materials to avoid galvanic coupling and achieve marine environment compatibility.

The invention as described herein in includes a traveling gate grounding assembly that includes a traveling gate having a gate panel with a front surface, a conducting cable that extends from an initial attachment point on the gate panel to a terminal attachment point on the gate panel. The traveling gate is electrically connected to the conducting cable. Also included is a floating ground comprising at least one grounding pulley that is electrically connectable to a ground line, wherein the conducting cable is slideably engaged with a wheel of the grounding pulley and is electrically connectable to a ground line via the grounding pulley.

Also included are traveling gate grounding systems that can be retrofitted to a gate panel including a conducting cable, at least one fastener capable of securing the conducting cable to a gate panel; and a floating ground comprising at least one grounding pulley that is electrically connectable to a ground line and to the conducting cable, wherein a wheel of the grounding pulley is capable of being slideably engaged with the conducting pulley and is simultaneously electrically connectable to a ground line and the conducting cable; wherein, in situ, the gate panel is in electrical communication with the floating ground.

The switch includes a signal line having an input port and an output port between first and second ground planes. The switch also includes a beam for controlling activation of the switch.
