Low profile blow-on force automatic switch
Systems of automatic transfer switches (ATS) are disclosed herein. One apparatus includes at least two automatic transfer switches coupled together. Each automatic transfer switches has contacts to couple a power source to a load. For each switch, an electromagnetic force biasing the contacts to each other is present if an electrical current flows through the switch. The automatic transfer switches may be on separate cassettes or on a single cassette. The power source of each switch may be the same or different.

Switch System
A switch system includes a mechanical switch for electrical currents. The mechanical switch operates in a conductive state and in a non-conductive state. A first actuator is configured to change the state of the mechanical switch, wherein an actuation of the first actuator is based on a Thomson coil system. A second actuator is also configured to change the state of the mechanical switch and includes a loaded spring system locked by a latch system. Each of the first and second actuators is configured to change the state of the mechanical switch depending on a property of an electrical current passing through the mechanical switch.
Dual-action switching mechanism and pole unit for circuit breaker
A circuit breaker includes a pole unit with a first and second electrodes. A linkage also extends from the pole unit. A linear actuator is operably connected to the pole unit. A Thomson coil or other high-speed actuator is also operably connected to the linkage. When the circuit breaker is closed, no gap is provided between them. To open the electrodes, the high-speed actuator first acts on the linkage by moving the linkage at a speed that is greater than a speed by which the linear actuator can move the linkage. The linear actuator can then actuate and increase a distance between the electrodes. A gap is provided between the pole unit and at least one of the actuators when the breaker is closed. This gap is reduced or eliminated when the breaker is open.
OPENING SWITCH AND REMOTE CIRCUIT BREAKER
An opening switch and a remote circuit breaker are provided. The opening switch includes a base, and an energy storage assembly (100) and a lock catch assembly (200) that are disposed on the base; the energy storage assembly (100) is disposed on an inner wall of the base, one end of the lock catch assembly (200) is hinged to the base, a lock catch protrusion (210) is disposed on the lock catch assembly (200), and the lock catch protrusion (210) includes a barrier wall (211); and when the barrier wall (211) is configured to abut against an energy storage arm (140) of the energy storage assembly (100), under an action force of the energy storage arm (140), the lock catch assembly (200) has a rotation tendency, so that the energy storage assembly (100) maintains an energy storage state.
Methods and Systems for Autonomous Redundant Control
An automatic autonomous redundant switch configured for providing energy from either a first power source or a second power source to a load is provided. The automatic switch includes a first automatic transfer switch (ATS) and a second ATS. The automatic switch further includes an interconnecting bus configured to connect the first ATS and the second ATS, and at least one controller configured to control the operation of the first ATS and the second ATS. Still further, the first ATS and the second ATS each include a respective transfer-switch mechanism, a respective bus attachment configured to connect to the interconnecting bus, and a respective motorized rack-out mechanism having a powered actuator.
Low voltage circuit breaker with a control device for re-closing said low voltage circuit breaker
The present invention refers to a low voltage circuit breaker with a control device for re-closing said low voltage circuit breaker. The control device is provided with an actuating element, comprising a shape memory material and operatively associated with maneuvering means for the circuit breaker. When this shape memory material performs a state transition, the actuating element causes the movement of said maneuvering means from a first operative position, associated with an open configuration of the circuit breaker, to a second operative position, associated with a closed configuration of the circuit breaker.
