Power supply apparatus

A power supply apparatus includes a battery pack for an electric vehicle, and an interface unit that couples the battery pack and a plurality of electrical devices. The interface unit includes a branch connector provided with a coupling unit and a plurality of fuses. The coupling unit allows coupling wires to join. Each of the coupling wires is coupled to a corresponding one of electrical devices. Each of the plurality of fuses is disposed in a corresponding one of coupling wires. The interface unit also includes a battery pack connector that is able to be coupled to the branch connector. In a state in which the branch connector is coupled to the battery pack connector, the power supply apparatus is configured to be able to supply electric power from the battery pack to each of the plurality of electrical devices via the coupling unit.

The thermal cutoff further includes a first lead wire and a second lead wire each wrapped by an insulating sheath. One end of the first lead wire and one end of the second lead wire are electrically connected to the first electrode and the second electrode. The sealant is filled in the opening of the housing, covers an electrical joint between the first lead wire and a first electrode plate and an end of the first lead wire, and also covers an electrical joint between a second electrode plate and the second lead wire and an end of the second lead wire.

The inside structure of the rubber insert moves in response to movement of the cable while the outside structure does not move.

One electrical switching device according to the present invention comprises an outer housing and internal operational components within the outer housing. An internal housing in included in that outer housing that surrounds at least some of the internal operational components. A sealing material is also included within the outer housing that is capable of forming a hermetic seal within the outer housing, wherein the sealing material contacts the internal housing. The internal housing has a CTE that substantially matches the CTE of the sealing material. Electrical system according to the present invention comprises an electrical circuit and an improved electrical switching device electrically connected to the electrical circuit to reliably open or close the circuit.
