Power distribution unit, such as a fuse box for a vehicle
The invention relates to a power distribution unit (1), such as a fuse box for a vehicle, for providing a protected electrical connection between a power supply cable and a plurality of distribution cables (7). The unit comprises a housing (2) and, received in said housing: —a bus bar (5) configured to be connected to the power supply cable; —a plurality of fuses (10), each fuse comprising a body (15), a first end portion (11) configured to be connected to the bus bar (5), and a second end portion (12) configured to be connected to a distribution cable (7); —at least one retainer (20) for maintaining the bus bar (5) in position with respect to the housing (2); —at least one positioner (40) for positioning the fuse first end portion (11) relative to the bus bar (5) along directions (X, Y) substantially parallel to the bus bar; —a biasing member (30) configured to urge the fuse first end portion (11) towards the bus bar (5), to cause the fuse first end portion to remain in contact with the bus bar.
Electric fuse
A safety fuse for use in a motor vehicle includes which fuse comprises a first contact metal portion, a second contact metal portion and a melting metal section connecting the first contact portion to the second contact portion. The melting section is enclosed by a casing made from a non-conductive material and includes two hollow half-shells provided with mutual coupling elements, each half-shell having an inner surface facing the melting section and an outer surface facing outside of the fuse. At least one of the half-shells is provided on at least part of the inner surface of an alveolar structure with open cells in the direction of the melting section. The alveolar structure is formed by a plurality of walls protruding from the inner surface and intersected with each other.

Electrical connection box
Provided is an electrical connection box according to which it is possible to easily handle a substrate and a fuse module. An electrical connection box for a vehicle includes: an insertion housing into which a plurality of fuses are to be inserted; a plurality of fuse terminals each having one end portion inserted into a surface of the insertion housing, the fuse terminals connecting the fuses to a substrate; and a holding member that is arranged opposing the one surface of the insertion housing and holds the fuse terminals. The holding member includes a gripping portion provided on a side opposite to the insertion housing, and the gripping portion has a finger placement portion used for gripping.

Tuning fork terminal slow blow fuse
A fuse including a housing having upper and lower portions, a plurality of terminal portions disposed in the lower portion, each of said terminal portions having first and second prongs and a gap therebetween, the gap narrowing from a first width adjacent an upper end of said first and second prongs to a second width adjacent a lower end of said first and second prongs, a fusible link disposed in the upper portion of the housing between said plurality of terminal portions, and a partition in said lower portion of said housing, wherein a distance between each of the second prongs and the partition increases from a first end of each of the second prongs proximate the upper portion to a second end of each of the second prongs distal from the upper portion for allowing the second ends to be displaced toward the partition before engaging the partition.

LIGHTWEIGHT INDUSTRIAL FUSE
A lightweight industrial fuse has a housing and a conductive fuse. The housing has a first plastic half-housing and a second half-housing combined with each other. The conductive fuse is integrally formed and clamped between the first and second half-housing. The conductive fuse has a fusible body and two intermediary portions disposed within the housing, and two electrode portions exposed from two opposite ends of the housing. Thus, an enclosed accommodation cavity of the housing is defined through the combination of the first and second half-housing. A manufacturing process is simplified, and a manufacturing cost is decreased, and further a weight of the industrial fuse is effectively reduced.
Fuses and methods of forming fuses
A fuse may include a leadframe including a first terminal having a first end and a second end, and a second terminal having a first end and a second end. A bridge may connect the respective second ends of the terminals. The bridge may have one or more protrusions disposed between the terminals and may be extended from the bridge. A base may have first and second apertures, and the first and second terminals may be at least partially disposed into the respective first and second apertures. The base may further include one or more indentations such that respective ends of the one or more protrusions are received in each of the one or more indentations. A plurality of wires may be connected from the first terminal to the second terminal, and each of the protrusions therebetween.
