A lighting device and system having a faceplate and a backplate. The faceplate or the backplate may have an arm or a set of arms having electrical conductors to connect or couple to the electrical contact points of an outlet, plug, or switch. The operational modes may be in an emergency lighting mode and a nightlight mode. The voltage source can be connected to a light source or sensor through the control circuit or the switch, and the light source may be activated based on the output of the sensor. A controller is connected to the sensor can send or receive wireless signals through a wireless module.

A power switch including a contact configured to selectively electrically connect a line input to a load output, a switch configured to selectively control the contract, and an indicator. The contact has a closed position in which the line input is electrically connected to the load output, and an open position in which the line input is not electrically connected to the load output. The switch has an on position wherein the contact is controlled to be in the closed position, and an off position wherein the contact is controlled to be in the open position. The indicator provides a normal on status, a normal off status, and an error on status.

A lighting control system includes a module housing, a graphical user interface, and a switch control circuit including a processor configured to modulate the flow of electrical energy to a lighting circuit via a dimmer circuit to produce a plurality of lighting scenes. The processor is configured to identify a proximate device identification, compare the identified device with one or more registered devices saved in a dataset, select a user profile, if the identified device corresponds to one of the one or more registered devices saved in the dataset. The processor is configured to cause a change in at least one of a scene selection protocol for selecting at least one lighting scene from the plurality of lighting scenes based on the user profile selected and a display setting of the graphical user interface.

A remote control device may control electrical loads and/or load control devices of a load control system without accessing electrical wiring. The remote control device may include a control unit and a base that may be configured to be mounted over a paddle actuator of an installed mechanical switch. The base may include a frame, a biasing member, and/or a ribbon portion. The frame may be configured to secure the remote control device thereto. The frame may define a rear surface that is configured to abut a bezel of the mechanical switch. The biasing member may be configured to engage a rear surface of a faceplate of the mechanical switch. The ribbon portion may be configured to attach the biasing member to the frame. The ribbon portion may be configured to extend through a gap between the bezel and the faceplate.

An electrical wall plate may include one or more of the following features. A face plate comprising at least one electrical device opening extending through the face plate. At least one box mounting screw opening configured to receive at least one box mounting screw to fasten the face plate to an electrical device. A power connector extending in a direction away from the face plate and configured to connect with the electrical device. A camera integrated with the face plate and in electrical connection with the power connector and configured to operate by power obtained from the electrical device when the power connector is connected to the electrical device. A camera movement control feature may comprise externally-engageable components coupled to the face plate and configured to movably position the camera or a camera lens by pan or tilt to point in different directions.

An apparatus for a wireless switch. In some embodiments, the wireless switch includes a button, a battery, a radio, a memory, and an electronic processor. The electronic processor may be configured to operate the wireless switch in a wireless mesh network communication mode; and in response to a user input from the button, reboot the wireless switch; operate the wireless switch in a Bluetooth operating mode; receive a switch configuration; store the switch configuration in the memory; reboot the wireless switch a second time, and operate the switch in the wireless mesh network communication mode.

A light device control apparatus is designed to pair with a traditional switch device that has a traditional switch for accepting a first user manual operation to control a target device connected to the traditional switch device with an electrical wire. The traditional switch device has a connecting structure. The light device control apparatus has an attaching device, a cover body, a replacement switch and a wireless controller. A switching arrangement for reducing contactor wear of an energy storage system having a plurality of battery packs arranged in parallel for powering a load. The switching arrangement includes a contactor for each battery pack, the contactors being configured to connect and disconnect the battery packs relative the load by closing and opening, respectively, an electric arc reducing circuitry associated to one of the contactors, wherein the switching arrangement is configured to electrically disconnect the battery packs from the load by means of the contactors such that the contactor being associated with the electric arc reducing circuitry is opened last.
