The invention provides a charged particle beam device that can accurately move a convergence point of a charged particle beam to a surface of a sample and facilitates a user to grasp a positional relation between the surface of the sample and the convergence point of the charged particle beam. The charged particle beam device according to the invention includes: an electron optics system configured to irradiate a sample table with a charged particle beam; a movable stage on which the sample table is to be placed; a sample chamber that accommodates the movable stage; a detector configured to detect a signal from a sample placed on the sample table; a camera configured to capture an image of the sample table and the sample; an extraction means configured to extract outer shape information relating to outer shapes of the sample table and the sample from the image captured by the camera; a control unit configured to control the movable stage based on the outer shape information; and a display unit configured to display an image relating to the outer shape information together with the image captured by the camera.

METHOD FOR POSITIONING OBJECTS IN A PARTICLE BEAM MICROSCOPE WITH THE AID OF A FLEXIBLE PARTICLE BEAM BARRIER
A method for positioning a movable object in a sample chamber of a particle beam microscope is carried out with the aid of a flexible particle beam barrier. The particle beam microscope comprises at least one particle beam column for producing a beam of charged particles, and a sample chamber, a detector for detecting interaction signals and a control and evaluation unit. In the method, initially an object is provided in the sample chamber. Next, a barrier region is defined, which is subsequently scanned with the beam of charged particles. The interaction signals produced during the scan are detected. The object is moved towards the barrier region, wherein the detected interaction signals are monitored and signal changes are registered, with the result that it is possible to detect when the object moves into the barrier region or leaves the barrier region.
Substrate processing system
A substrate processing system installed on a floor face is provided. The substrate processing system includes a substrate transfer module, a supporting table including a top plate disposed separately from the floor face, a plurality of substrate processing modules disposed on the top plate and coupled to the substrate transfer module along a lateral side of the substrate transfer module, and a plurality of power units disposed below the top plate.
