A display device and method for fabrication thereof includes a plurality of pixel electrodes and common electrode connection parts that are spaced from each other on a first substrate, a plurality of light emitting elements on the plurality of pixel electrodes, a plurality of common electrode elements on the common electrode connection parts, and a common electrode layer on the plurality of light emitting elements and the plurality of common electrode elements, wherein each of the plurality of light emitting element includes a first semiconductor layer, a second semiconductor layer, and an active layer between the first semiconductor layer and the second semiconductor layer, each of the plurality of common electrode elements includes at least the second semiconductor layer, and the common electrode layer includes a same material as the second semiconductor layer to be connected to the second semiconductor layers of the plurality of light emitting elements.
WLCSP package with different solder volumes
The present disclosure is directed to a wafer level chip scale package (WLCSP) with various combinations of contacts and Under Bump Metallizations (UBMs) having different structures and different amounts solder coupled to the contacts and UBMs. Although the contacts have different structures and the volume of solder differs, the total standoff height along the WLCSP remains substantially the same. Each portion of solder coupled to each respective contact and UBM includes a point furthest away from an active surface of a die of the WLCSP. Each point of each respective portion of solder is co-planar with each other respective point of the other respective portions of solder. Additionally, the contacts with various and different structures are positioned accordingly on the active surface of the die of the WLCSP.
Package with metal-insulator-metal capacitor and method of manufacturing the same
A package includes a chip formed in a first area of the package and a molding compound formed in a second area of the package adjacent to the first area. A first polymer layer is formed on the chip and the molding compound, a second polymer layer is formed on the first polymer layer, and a plurality of interconnect structures is formed between the first polymer layer and the second polymer layer. A metal-insulator-metal (MIM) capacitor is formed on the second polymer layer and electrically coupled to at least one of the plurality of interconnect structures. A metal bump is formed over and electrically coupled to at least one of the plurality of interconnect structures.
Method of manufacturing a bonded substrate stack
A method of manufacturing a bonded substrate stack includes: providing a first substrate having a first hybrid interface layer, the first hybrid interface layer including a first insulator and a first metal; and providing a second substrate having a second hybrid interface layer, the second hybrid interface layer including a second insulator and a second metal. The hybrid interface layers are surface-activated by particle bombardment which is configured to remove atoms of the first hybrid interface layer and atoms of the second hybrid interface layer to generate dangling bonds on the hybrid interface layers. The surface-activated hybrid interface layers are brought into contact, such that the dangling bonds of the first hybrid interface layer and the dangling bonds of the second hybrid interface layer bond together to form first insulator to second insulator bonds and first metal to second metal bonds.

Structure and method for semiconductor packaging
A semiconductor packaging structure includes a die including a bond pad and a first metal layer structure disposed on the die, the first metal layer structure having a first width, the first metal layer structure including a first metal layer, the first metal layer electrically coupled to the bond pad. The semiconductor packaging structure also includes a first photosensitive material around sides of the first metal layer structure and a second metal layer structure disposed over the first metal layer structure and over a portion of the first photosensitive material, the second metal layer structure electrically coupled to the first metal layer structure, the second metal layer structure having a second width, where the second width is greater than the first width. Additionally, the semiconductor packaging structure includes a second photosensitive material around sides of the second metal layer structure.
LIGHT EMITTING DEVICE AND DISPLAY APPARATUS
A light emitting device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes multiple light emitting elements. The light emitting elements each include a semiconductor layer including a first conductive layer, a light emitting layer, and a second conductive layer that are stacked in this order. The first conductive layer has a light emitting surface. The light emitting elements further includes a first electrode in contact with the second conductive layer, and a second electrode in contact with the first conductive layer. The light emitting elements share the first conductive layer and the second electrode with each other. The light emitting elements each include a current path in the first conductive layer from a portion opposed to the first electrode to a portion opposed to the second electrode. The first conductive layer has one or multiple trenches in a region between two current paths adjacent to each other. The light emitting device further includes a light blocking section provided in the one or multiple trenches.
BONDED WAFER DEVICE STRUCTURE AND METHODS FOR MAKING THE SAME
Bonded wafer device structures, such as a wafer-on-wafer (WoW) structures, and methods of fabricating bonded wafer device structures, including an array of contact pads formed in an interconnect level of at least one wafer of the bonded wafer device structure. The array of contact pads formed in an interconnect level of at least one wafer may have an array pattern that corresponds to an array pattern of contact pads that is subsequently formed over a surface of the bonded wafer structure. The array of contact pads formed in an interconnect level of at least one wafer of the bonded wafer device structure may enable improved testing of individual wafers, including circuit probe testing, prior to the wafer being stacked and bonded to one or more additional wafers to form a bonded wafer structure.
