Electrode for secondary battery, preparation thereof, and secondary battery and cable-type secondary battery comprising the same
The present disclosure provides a sheet-form electrode for a secondary battery, comprising a current collector; an electrode active material layer formed on one surface of the current collector; and a first porous supporting layer formed on the electrode active material layer. The sheet-form electrode for a secondary battery according to the present disclosure has supporting layers on at least one surface thereof to exhibit surprisingly improved flexibility and prevent the release of the electrode active material layer from a current collector even if intense external forces are applied to the electrode, thereby preventing the decrease of battery capacity and improving the cycle life characteristic of the battery.
TUBULAR FORM BIOMEDICAL DEVICE BATTERIES WITH ELECTROLESS SEALING
Designs, strategies and methods for forming tube shaped batteries are described. In some examples, hermetic seals may be used to seal battery chemistry within the tube-shaped batteries. This may improve biocompatibility of energization elements. In some examples, the tube form biocompatible energization elements may be used in a biomedical device. In some further examples, the tube form biocompatible energization elements may be used in a contact lens.
Cable-type secondary battery
The present invention relates to a cable-type secondary battery having a horizontal cross section of a predetermined shape and extending longitudinally, comprising: an inner electrode having an inner current collector and an inner electrode active material layer surrounding the outer surface of the inner current collector; a separation layer surrounding the outer surface of the inner electrode to prevent a short circuit between electrodes; and an outer electrode surrounding the outer surface of the separation layer, and having an outer electrode active material layer, an open-structured outer current collector and a conductive paste layer. The outer electrode having a conductive paste layer and an open-structured outer current collector according to the present invention has good flexibility to improve the flexibility of a cable-type secondary battery having the same. Also, the conductive paste layer is made of a light material, and thus can contribute to the lightening of the cable-type secondary battery.
MULTITUBULAR GAUNTLET WITH OVERLAPPING LATERAL EDGES
The current invention relates to continuous process for the production of a multitubular gauntlet, said process comprising the steps of: continuously providing at least one sheet of fabric with two lateral edges: overlapping two lateral edges: seaming said overlap by welding or gluing, forming a closing seam wherein both lateral edges are joined together creating a tubular fabric, seaming said tubular fabric along scams parallel to the closing seam, thereby forming flat tubes parallel to the closing seam; and thermoforming the plurality of flat tubes into the desired shape corresponding the electrode to be used, thereby obtaining the multitubular gauntlet. The invention further relates to a multitubular gauntlet for lead-acid batteries comprising at least one sheet of fabric with two lateral edges, said fabric forming a plurality of parallel tubes, wherein at least one lateral tube forming the edge of said gauntlet comprises an overlap of said lateral edges, wherein said overlap is seamed by welding or gluing.
