BATTERY LID

A battery lid is formed of a metal plate integrally formed with a valve and a surrounding plate portion surrounding the valve which facilitates rupturing the valve at a predetermined pressure. The valve includes a pressure receiving plate portion having a bending groove, and bendable from the bending groove by applied pressure, and a thin plate portion thinner than the thickness of the surrounding plate portion, and connects the pressure receiving plate portion to the surrounding plate portion. The thin plate portion has a rupture groove passing through extension sections on the respective lines extending from the bending groove. As the pressure receiving plate portion is deformed by the pressure applied to the valve, the extension sections are pulled more strongly than are the other sections in the valve. Therefore, when a predetermined pressure is applied, the valve is ruptured from the extension sections of the rupture groove.

A UV curable dielectric coating is described. The curable coating can include one of more acrylate monomers, a urethane prepolymer, a crosslinker, at least one adhesion promoter, a photoinitiator, and optionally one or more fillers and/or additives. The coating can be used to insulate battery cells and battery packs, such as those used in electric vehicles. The coatings can be easily applied and quickly cured. The cured coatings can have high adhesion strength, even after exposure to wet conditions.

Plate material conveying system

To provide a plate material conveying system configured to load plate materials produced by a press work onto a tray at regular intervals, prior to a cleaning process. The plate material conveying system comprises: a feeding section 13 that feeds the plate materials produced by the press work at regular intervals; a storage section 14 that stores the plate materials conveyed sequentially from the feeding section 13; a loading section 15 that loads the plate materials stored in the storage section 14 on the tray opposing thereto at one time; and a discharging section 16 that conveys the tray from a site to be opposed to the storage section 14 to a predetermined site.

SEALED BATTERY

A sealed battery includes a battery can with a bottomed cylindrical shape having an opening, an electrode body accommodated in the battery can, and a sealing plate closing the opening of the battery can. The sealing plate has a first main surface facing an outside of the battery can and a second main surface opposite to the first main surface. The first main surface has a first groove therein with an arc shape. The second main surface has a second groove therein with an arc shape disposed to correspond to the first groove. The first groove has a central angle A1 smaller than a central angle A2 of the second groove. The first groove intersects a symmetry axis of the second groove on the second groove when viewed in a normal direction of the first main surface.

Housing Cover for a Battery Housing With Particle Protection and Heat Protection, Battery Housing, Traction Battery and Motor Vehicle
20230017567 · 2023-01-19 ·

A housing cover is provided for placement on a housing lower part of a battery housing of a traction battery of an electrically driveable motor vehicle. The housing cover includes a cover layer for closing off a housing interior of the battery housing accommodating at least one battery cell, and a protection layer overlapping at least in part with the cover layer to withstand a thermal load caused by a supply of heat to the housing cover in the event of an emergency gassing of the at least one battery cell. The protection layer is mechanically connected in connection regions to the cover layer and is arranged in protection regions at a distance from the cover layer, thus forming a gap intended to increase a thermal transfer resistance between the protection layer and the cover layer.
