A fuel cell system capable of improving the chemical durability of a membrane electrode assembly by compensating for the amount of an antioxidant lost within the electrolyte membrane or electrode of the fuel cell stack in such a manner that the antioxidant is provided from an antioxidant supply device, provided in a fuel processing system and/or an air processing system, to a fuel cell stack, in preparation for a case where the antioxidant within the electrolyte membrane or electrode is lost due to the dissolution or migration characteristic of the antioxidant.

A system and method for cooling and humidifying a cathode subsystem of a fuel cell for an automobile. The system includes a compressor, an air input line including an intercooler configured to cool air output by the compressor, a fluid output line including a fluid injection system, a cathode stack configured to receive air via the air input line and output a fluid to the fluid output line, and an electronic processor. The electronic processor is configured to control the fluid injection system such that the fluid output from the cathode stack is injected into the air input line.

A large-scale proton exchange membrane fuel cell power station process system includes a distributed cell stack module, a modular fuel supply system, a modular oxidant supply system, a modular cooling system, a power transmission and inverter system, and a power station master system. The distributed cell stack module is a power station core power generation device, the modular fuel supply system serves as a fuel supply system for the distributed cell stack module, and the modular oxidant supply system serves as an oxidant supply system for the distributed cell stack module; the modular cooling system performs cooling and heat exchange of the distributed cell stack module, the power transmission and inverter system converts, transmits and allocates a power of the distributed cell stack module, and the power station master system controls and manages each of the systems and the modules. The process system is unattended during peak electricity consumption.

The controller defines an upper limit of current output from the fuel cell stack on the basis of the temperature of the fuel cell stack and the supply of the fuel and keeps the current output from the fuel cell stack at or below the upper limit.

The system also includes means for obtaining conditioned air exhausted from an enclosed space and directing the conditioned exhaust air to the turbine of turbo-compressor unit such that the conditioned exhaust air is expanded by the turbine causing rotation of the shaft and corresponding rotation of the compressor, means for providing air from the air supply to the compressor to be compressed and output from the compressor unit and provided as compressed inlet air to the air inlet of the fuel cell unit.

An evaporation water tank for a fuel cell device may include a tank bottom, a plurality of tank side walls, and a tank cover that collectively define a collection volume for evaporation water and tank air. The plurality of tank side walls may be arranged on and project away from the tank bottom. The tank cover may be arranged a distance away from the tank bottom and on the plurality of tank side walls. The tank may also include an evaporation water inlet via which an inflow of evaporation water is flowable into the collection volume and at least one evaporation water outlet via which an outflow of evaporation water is flowable from the collection volume. The evaporation water inlet may be arranged on at least one of the plurality of tank side walls. The at least one evaporation water outlet may be arranged on the tank bottom.
