ELECTRIC POWER GENERATION SYSTEM BASED ON PRESSURIZED FUEL CELL POWER SYSTEM WITH AIR COOLING AND RECIRCULATION AND METHOD FOR ELECTRIC POWER GENERATION BY THE SYSTEM
An air pressure in fuel cells of an electric power generation system comprising a fuel cell stack (PCS) is raised with a pressurized air cooling system with recirculation to values at least two times greater than typical values for an PCS with air cooling. The FCS is either placed in a high-pressure chamber to which air is injected, or air outgoing from the FCS is redirected via a duct back to the FCS inlet and a portion of pressurized fresh air is added thereto. The chamber or the duct is provided with a radiator by means of which circulating air heat is transferred into the external environment. Air recirculation in the chamber or the duct is effected by means of fans for cooling fuel cells. Useful capacity of electric power generation systems based on fuel cells is raised significantly, the necessity of using a humidifier is excluded, and the temperature range of fuel cell operation is expanded.
CELL STACK DEVICE, MODULE, MODULE HOUSING DEVICE, AND CONDUCTIVE MEMBER
A cell stack device includes at least one cell and at least one conductive member. The cell includes an element portion. The conductive member includes a base member containing chromium, a first layer containing an oxide containing zinc, and a zinc spinel portion located at the interface between the base member and the first layer. The first layer includes a first region facing the element portion. A first overlap area ratio, at which the zinc spinel portion located at a first interface between the first region and the base member overlaps with the first interface, is less than a second overlap area ratio, at which the zinc spinel portion located at a second interface between a second region where the surface of the first layer is exposed to an oxidizing atmosphere and the base member overlaps with the second interface.

Method of making a fuel cell and treating a component thereof
Herein disclosed is a method of treating a component of a fuel cell, which includes the step of exposing the component of the fuel cell to a source of electromagnetic radiation (EMR). The component comprises a first material. The EMR has a wavelength ranging from 10 to 1500 nm and the EMR has a minimum energy density of 0.1 Joule/cm2. Preferably, the treatment process has one or more of the following effects: heating, drying, curing, sintering, annealing, sealing, alloying, evaporating, restructuring, foaming. In an embodiment, the substrate is a component in a fuel cell. Such component comprises an anode, a cathode, an electrolyte, a catalyst, a barrier layer, a interconnect, a reformer, or reformer catalyst. In an embodiment, the substrate is a layer in a fuel cell or a portion of a layer in a fuel cell or a combination of layers in a fuel cell or a combination of partial layers in a fuel cell.
