The plurality of facets together may combine to provide a plurality of adjacent curved reflectors, with at least one facet of the plurality of facets facing in a different direction relative to at least one other facet of the plurality of facets, with at least one facet of the plurality of facets having one or more flat planar surfaces and at least one other facet of the plurality of facets having a curved surface portion, and with at least one facet of the plurality of facets having structures configured for modifying signals propagating over a surface of the at least one facet in at least one direction relative to the surface.
Methods and systems for provisioning of telecommunications signals in moving trains
Systems and methods are provided for provisioning of telecommunications signals in moving trains. Scattering panels may be utilized for redirecting wireless signals, such as by scattering them, to provide better communication performance on the moving trains. The scattering panels may be configured to scatter the signals, such as by reflecting them. The scattering panels may be configured for operation in conjunction with a number of antennas that communicate the signals being scattered via the scattering panels.
REFLECTOR ANTENNA SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE
One example includes a method for assembling a reflector antenna. The method includes coupling first and second frame members to respective sidewalls of a panel bonding tool via fastening features to engage a through-hole pattern of each of the respective frame members and bend the frame members to form a perimeter frame. A longitudinal surface of each of the frame members corresponding to a reflector profile of the reflector antenna extends beyond a longitudinal surface of the respective sidewalls along a length of the respective sidewalls. The method also includes applying an adhesive to each of the frame members of the perimeter frame, and adhering a reflector skin to the perimeter frame to form a radial antenna panel. The radial antenna panel has the reflector profile. The method further includes decoupling the radial antenna panel from the panel bonding tool upon curing of the adhesive.
REFLECTOR ANTENNA SYSTEM WITH MOVABLE MIMO MULTIPLE FEEDS AND ADAPTIVE FIELD FOCUSING METHOD FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATION IN MULTIPATH FADING ENVIRONMENT
This document discloses a reflector antenna system with movable MIMO multiple feeds and adaptive field focusing method for wireless communication in multipath fading environment; the system comprises antenna reflector, multiple feeds, the equal number of the signal receiving channels and signal transmitting channels to the feeds, all the channels are capable to measure and adjust the amplitude and time delay of signals, and the method for amplitude and time delay adjustment of the powered signals. In signal receiving mode the antenna system makes the signal components arrived through unknown multipath superimpose synchronously; in signal transmitting mode, the system let the wave components radiated from different transmitting channels superimpose synchronously, realizing adaptive field focusing at the antenna of the communication target. This antenna system is suitable for point to point wireless communication in wireless propagation environment with multipath fading effect, showing remarkable improvement of SNR of the signals transmitted and received.
ANTENNA APPARATUS
An apparatus is provided that includes: a multi-element reflector, each element comprising a concave reflective surface, the curvature of each element and focal distance of each element being common, the concave reflective surface of each element being configured to steer a radio-frequency beam in a different direction to that of the other elements; and a directional antenna feed, configurable to direct a beam towards each element of the multi-element reflector and positionable to be concurrently spaced said common focal distance from all of the elements of the multi-element reflector. One or more mechanisms are also provided by which, for example, a commercially viable millimeter wave base station can be realised. In particular, antenna arrangements are provided which support a field of view which facilitates establishment and maintenance of an effective communication link between a base station and a user with a desired level of reliability.

Multiple tuned Fresnel zone plate reflector antenna
The invention is a dual and stagger-tuned 8-step FZP antenna for use in VSAT operations. The preferred embodiment achieves the desired antenna gain at the RX band (centered at 11.95 GHz) and the TX band (centered at 14.25 GHz). The flexible antenna is 1-meter diameter and less than 1-inch thick, allowing it to be folded to the size of a tissue box for easy storage and transportability.
