Contact Of A Connector
A contact includes a cantilever beam and a protection tab. The cantilever beam extends from a beam connected end to a beam free end along an insertion direction. The protection tab extends from a tab connected end to a tab free end in a direction opposite to the insertion direction. The tab free end is positioned adjacent to the beam free end.
PCIE/SAS female electrical connector
A Peripheral Component Interconnect Express/Serial Attached SCSI (PSAS) female connector includes a frame member, a terminal member, and a cover member; the frame member including a terminal groove disposed in the frame member and a tilt portion disposed in the terminal groove adjacent to a plug end; the terminal member inserted in the frame member and including a Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) 7 pin terminal, a Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) 40 pin terminal, a 15 Pin signal terminal, a 6 Pin terminal, and a 4 Pin terminal. When the PSAS female connector is engaged with the male connector, the SATA 7 Pin terminal and the SAS 40 Pin terminal are pressed by a terminal of the male connector to be bent toward an outer lateral side of the terminal groove to contact the elastic plate of the cover member. The present invention effectively improves the cross interference during high speed transmission, thereby achieving the Generation 5 performance requirement.
Electrical connector assembly with outer shielding shell and inner shielding plate between terminals
In a connector assembly in which a first connector that includes a first insulator, first terminals, and a first shell and is mounted on a first board and a second connector that includes a second insulator, second terminals, and a second shell and is mounted on a second board are connected with each other, a first ground pattern that has a frame-like shape and is formed on the first board is soldered to the first shell with first solder, and a second ground pattern that has a frame-like shape and is formed on the second board is soldered to the second shell with second solder. An inner space in which the first terminals and the second terminals are positioned is completely shielded from the outside without any gap.

Backplane connector with improved shielding effect
A backplane connector includes a wafer and a mounting block. The wafer includes a number of conductive terminals, an insulating frame, a first metal shield and a second metal shield. The conductive terminal includes a contact portion, a tail portion and a connection portion. The conductive terminals include differential signal terminals, a first ground terminal and a second ground terminal. The first metal shield includes a first protruding piece. The second metal shield includes a second protruding piece. The mounting block includes a slot for passing through the tail portions of the differential signal terminals. The first protruding piece and the second protruding piece are at least partially inserted into the slot. This arrangement can provide better shielding adjacent to the tail portions of the differential signal terminals, reduce crosstalk, and improve the quality of signal transmission.
Input/output terminal and electronic device comprising same
Disclosed are an input/output terminal for connecting an electronic device to an external device and an electronic device comprising the input/output terminal, the input/output terminal comprising: a signal pin allowing signals to be transmitted/received between the electronic device and the external device; a ground pin connected to a ground part of the electronic device; and a resistant material disposed at the end part of the signal pin or the ground pin. Other various embodiments are possible.
SHIELD CONNECTOR
A shield connector includes wires (12, 14, 15), terminals (20) connected respectively to the wires, a housing (30) for arranging upper and lower rows of terminals, and a shield shell (40) for covering the housing. Each terminal (20) includes a terminal connecting portion (21) to be connected to a mating terminal and a wire connecting portion (23) to be soldered to the corresponding wires. The housing (30) includes a housing body for accommodating the terminal connecting portions and an extending plate (35) extending rearward along a connecting direction to a mating housing from the housing body and arranged between the wire connecting portions of the first and second terminal rows. The shield shell (40) includes first and second open portions (58, 59) for exposing each of one and other surfaces of the housing extending portion, and first and second covers (60A, 60B) for covering the first and second open portions.

Terminal module and backplane connector having the terminal module
A terminal module includes a number of conductive terminals. The conductive terminals include a first signal terminal and a second signal terminal. A contact portion of the first signal terminal includes a first contact arm, a second contact arm and a first clamping space. The first contact arm includes a first contact end portion and a first contact arm body portion connected with the first contact end portion. The first contact arm body portion includes a first end connected to the first contact end portion and a second end opposite to the first end. From the first end to the second end, a width of the first contact arm body portion gradually increases. As a result, it is beneficial to improve the contact impedance when it is mated with a mating backplane connector. The present disclosure also discloses a backplane connector having the terminal module.
High speed, high density electrical connector with shielded signal paths
A modular electrical connector with separately shielded signal conductor pairs. The connector may be assembled from modules, each containing a pair of signal conductors with surrounding partially or fully conductive material. Modules of different sizes may be assembled into wafers, which are then assembled into a connector. Wafers may include lossy material. In some embodiments, shielding members of two mating connectors may each have compliant members along their distal portions, such that, the shielding members engage at points of contact at multiple locations, some of which are adjacent the mating edge of each of the mating shielding members.
